unichan uses both hands (hohoho /creepy DC LAN manager)
The guards are all nuckin futs. I can have a bow equipped and guards will be like "So, you can throw about a bit of magic, am I supposed to be impressed?" and I'm like WTF MAN BACK OFF BRO.
Then they are all like "So you're the new companion? You...what? Fetch their mead?" and then I'm like oh hell naw and Fus Ro Dah them across the world.
If people are really unsure of how to mod Skyrim and whatnot, I don't mind assisting.
@Bleak your mods are what are slowing you down - the 2k mods eat up a lot of memory and if you don't have a ton to spare (you're already using 4gig launcher iirc?) then that'll be your bottleneck.
You can disable portions of mods that you don't like, if you have any HD landscape mods going on, I find that those eat up the most resources, followed by plant HD retex.

Waiting for the mods atm.. The dungeons are too straightforward to make the real adventurer feeling. They were a lot of fun, but then I got an arrow of mindlightening to teh knee.

Fortunately, the Creation Kit is scheduled to be released this month, so progress in mods will surge forward.

Yup! As well as quest-bug patching. Supposedly.
I had actually posted that and went to hunt down the only new dungeon mod that I knew of but the guy took it down off Skyrim Nexus... Oh well. :p
Anyone with HD Skyrim picture requests? I'm feeling particularly artsy tonight. Also add me on skype - torenhire is my ID - if you need help getting some mods to work, I don't mind stepping people through it.

I request pretty HD scenery pics of like forest type areas, those are my favorite! That creation kit can't come to soon, after my last fumble with mods I reinstalled the game and have since been moddless since I want only the juicy stuff were surely going to get plus that whole built in mod stuff with Steam (dunno what they called it I forget) will simplify stuff/do it almost on its own for perfectionists like myself. Hope you are right about quest bug patching, really wish they would have fixed those issues as they became known but oh wells.

I request a Game of Thrones conversion, complete with a North-of-the-Wall zone where you can go to fight free-folk and others :D
Also, capturable towns would be the bees knees.

WoW you must be really bad if you need to abuse the game this hard.
I never said that I did.

Images don't pre-load in spoiler tags right?
Warning: images may be fking huge.

I have some city-scape pictures as well, but I didn't want to over-load the thread with HD pics lol. I still have some tweaking to do, I've made a few personal adjustments to various mods I've downloaded...thankfully I've got supercomputer so I have yet to take any FPS hits for this (finally all that overkill on RAM + graphics cards is paying off).
Again if anyone wants a picture of something specific for a wallpaper or w/e, let me know and I'll do my best.
Also the offer still stands - need help with getting mods installed properly? Add me on Skype! Torenhire is my ID
...oh, and as you can see, it was rain season in Skyrim, those clouds wouldn't gtfo no matter where I went.

I've been modding my game through Nexus Mod Manager, and I think I've downloaded too many. When I install a mod, I counter out parts of other mods.
Does anyone have a "list" of the mods that are necessary for ultimate HD retexturing? I have a feeling that my mods are getting to the point where they are redundant...

WoW you must be really bad if you need to abuse the game this hard. That's not fair. He never said he was so bad that he had to use such powerful weapons, only that 300 DPS is fairly low compared to the potential DPS you can achieve. On a side note, the Riften guards seem to have some nutcases in their ranks. I've been told twice by two different guards that I'm like them, in that I don't favor clunky two-handed weapons. Both guards carried battle-axes. Is life too fuckin' weird or what? Everyone tells me I use both hands for my weapon and they respect that ... I go one-handed and don't usually walk around dual wield >.>
If your skill level is high enough (somewhere around 30-35), there is a chance that they will make that comment no matter what you have equipped or how high your other skills are.

Torenhire those are excellent pics! All of them look great (that snowflake really did kinda fuck that one up as far as a possible background goes. :/ I'm using "scenery south of old Hrothgar" as my background now. I do have one more request though, can you get like a nice stream/daylight/Falkreath pic? Thanks if you can! :D <3

What are everyones favorite must have mods? I enjoy pise, deadly dragons, wars in skyrim, cutthroat merchants, better females, killable children, balanced magic, be a better Mage.
Any other mods that you guys recommend make gameplay much more enjoyable?

Maybe you know; is deadly dragons redundant when using wars in skyrim (II)? The "Dark Age" version makes harder dragons, so... ?
|
My understanding is that for the dark age the dragon difficulty will be whichever mod is loaded second in the load list. I'm currently using Dark rainbow, but my load list looks like
Skyrim.esm Update.esm DeadlyDragons.esm Warinskyrim.esp WiS2Armory.esp -----Pise Stuff--- DeadlyDragonshard.esp DeadlyDragonsEF.esp ---Other miscellaneous mods---
And it works perfectly fine. I won't be able to tell you positively if the same will be true for Dark Age though.

What mod(s) are you using to achieve that look?
Also if u have the Clear Skies shout, that gets rid of the bad weather (OMG THAT SHOUT HAS A USE)......or you can use the console but that kills roleplaying.
|
Clear skies and overwhelming force are my favorite shouts, I hate bad weather! XD I think clear skies is the only one I ever get into trouble with while in towns, if that rain starts I immediately make it go away. My Skyrim is a happy, always sunshiny relaxation nation! lol

1: Cause drought. 2: ???? 3: Profit.
[I wish you could do that.]

So I was doing my customary daily reading and I saw this article on Rockpapershotgun. And in my semi-inebriated state I laughed so very loud.
I wish I had more time to play Skyrim besides manely playing Starcraft.

I use it all the time in combat, because of its really short cooldown and ability to both stagger enemies in close range and temporarily pacify dragons. It also clears away poisonous gas from certain traps. And, of course, it clears the skies.
It's hardly a useless Shout; in fact, it's one of the Shouts used enough to make it onto my Favorites menu (the others being Throw Voice [This Shout is fuckin' amazing], Whirlwind Sprint, and Elemental Fury).
