I've got smithing up to level 40 odd now, seems like an easy way to level up your character in general, but it sure feels like I'm leveling up too slow.

With these monsters, you want to either burst the shit out of it (dual wield perks, berserker rage, damage potions...), summoning a fat creature to zap it safely such as an atronach or using high stealth with perks to kill it with critical/sneak arrows. briarhearts are stronger I think, they're like the only guys I'm scared of.

While they are strong, I've yet to see a briarheart that can 1 shot my mage. Also, briarhearts have a fatal weakness of if u pickpocket their heart, u instakill them.

The Forsworn in general tend to tear my character apart due to dual-wielding Ravagers attacking alongside their mages and archers. Briarhearts are such a bitch to deal with on top of all that... so maybe I can put this trick to good use. Also, I got a question: Is it worth using Alchemy to make poisons for archers? I despise Alchemy because it's so boring, but I can see the benefits from making deadly poisons. The mod I use makes sneak-archery unfeasible because of the changes made to sneaking (NPCs are more alert, will search for far longer after they detect you, and have a hugely enhanced cone of detection), so having the ability to instantly drop one or two enemies with poisoned arrows and then engage in melee / evade the remaining foes for a couple of minutes would be a great boon.

My last playthrough (now lvl 46) was a sneak archer using alchemy, lockpicking (treasure hunter perk) and a mix of illusion with speechcraft. I use a mix of ancient dark brotherhood gear (35% bow damage cowl and boots which are the lightest silence ones ive found so far) and some nightingale armor pieces (chest for extra stamina and resists and gloves for 1h damage + lockpicking). I was using the nightingale bow with its dual elemental damage until I found one that added 50 shock damage per hit. The issue with poison is that you need to get high to get the good ones. That being said, it is often worth it since some add 30-50 dmg per us (1 per use). The downside is the added weight so will need to either use weight items or boost your stamina to some extent. Also, most undeads will resist your poinson outright so be sure to use the right type of damage when using them based on the mob. I also use a lot of 50-60% extra bow damage pots as it really stacks up. bows are about 50-60 dmg without any special boosts + 20-30 dmg from arrows + x3.0 sneak multiplier + 1.6 pot multiplier + 30-50 dmg from poison, it goes up fast. If you crit, you can easily reach 800 damage per shot. Then you can add some more enchanted gear if you decided to exploit that route and bring that close to 1200-1500. I know some like paralyze potions but most late game mobs will resist them, leaving you defensless. I save these only for humanoids (humans, orcs..) and dopnt use them on dragons and undeads. I must say they make the game extremely easy though and if you can add some invisibility pots, you can do whatever without ever being attacked.

![]() It's slow. Too slow. Damn alchemy. Anyway, I still haven't finished the main story, I want to but I'm just too tired of it at this point. Can anyone recommend some mods or whatever to make the game interesting again ![]()

Can anyone recommend some mods or whatever to make the game interesting again ![]() Wars in Skyrim II (random monsters from random factions spawn, increase spawn points, increase game difficulties and you get to see crazy stuff like a random dragon priest killing bandits or three werewolves fighting trolls) PISE (alter game A.I., increase spawn and difficulty) Deadly Dragons (Elder/Ancient Dragons are now seriously a bitch to kill. Added many new types of dragons capable of using additional shouts and magic that are very difficult even with 100% resistance against fire/frost)

So glad I worked my way up conjuration now, did it originally just to get flame atronachs. The only way to boost your summoned bow is with the perks that make it honed, the one that give it soulsteal, 3 seconds on a hit, and the one that makes them banish daedra on a hit. While all those are nice, they are inferior to a legendary Daedric longbow with any other 2 enchants. The Bound weapons are strong, but they don´t keep up with the ones created by someone with a lot of smithing.

God alchemy takes way too long to up without maxed enchant. On my second playthrough I totally ditched the main storyline until the stormrage quest. Now I see that I can't do the Greybeards if I do the bard's quest. But if I fully finish the Greybeard's can I still make bard's ? :D

Never found a weapon enchantment that really sounded interesting to me is why I think, way more stuff to buff character through armor enchants, also don't have to recharge armor...maybe I'm just lazy. XD I got into enchanting weapons first, because it´s easier to get a decent magnitude from weapons, 10 damage per hit right away, while the first enchants of armor give something like +1% mana regeneration, not very impressive. Selling enchanted weapons is also one of the most broken ways to get money. A dagger and a petty soul gem will with the right enchantment sell for more than a thousand septims if you are good at enchanting. I´ve had success using Absorb Stamina in melee, I get back some of the stamina I use while Power Attacking so I can do MORE Power Attacks. My housecarl has an axe that absorb stamina and paralyse targets. With Grand Souls in the weapons they have a huge battery, and will last many, many battles, and if you forget to recharge then the weapons work like normal weapons for a while, so no big loss.

Don't bother PM'ing the Macho Man dragon mod, though, because that's making an appearance EZ.
