Discussing the controversy and stating your opinions in a constructive way is fine, but there will be bans for any player/organization bashing without anything to substantiate it. |

People called Coach Lee a liar when he said Puma got poached, when it turned out EG really went after him they shifted to the no contract defense. People called Coach Lee a liar when Fruitdealer/Trickster left claiming they didn't get paid, s2con expelled him and when it turned out he was right by providing bank statements everyone felt stupid and retracted accusations. People are calling Coach Lee a liar again here when he says alive broke the contract Lee learned to make after issue #1 and left the team to join fnatic after being convinced by (or misunderstanding?) their translator.
It's kind of weird. Seems u don't know anything about how the EG/TSL incident took place.... and the explenations given and confirmed No...EG went after Puma without talking to Coach Lee first. Feel bad for TSL. All the angry reactionary knee jerkers are effectively saying "Coach Lee?! Yeah, I've read that name twice before in TL's community news. FUCK that guy, he causes so much drama." Sad. I think the real victim here is Alive, lead along by a member of Fnatic etc. So no one can speak to a player of another team before talking to their manager? Contract or not, how stupid is that? Obviously you will talk to a player to see if he is interested before going to their coach for negotiations. If there is no contract, there is not even a need for negotiations with their coach. There was no contract. That's how business and contract work. I don't think that there is a clause in their contract saying "YOU CAN'T TALK TO MANAGER FROM OTHER TEAM AND YOU CAN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT LEAVING WITHOUT ME, COACH LEE' AGREEING BEFORE HAND." Some people are overreacting, like ever. Exactly like Coach Lee, actually... there is no fucking need to bring that to the community to create drama. What does he expect? Sympathy? Help? He is just trying to hurt Fnatic. He should grow up and try to resolve is own issue himself, like other team manager. The korean article focus isn't against Fnatic it's against aLive. So actually he isn't saying anything about Fnatic. He said he wants to take legal action against alive NOT fnatic.
It's even worse. So he is trying to create drama around a player that is alone instead of going to him and discuss with him? He want to sue him AND bring drama from the community around him? What a good coach.

EG members (USA) have base salaries to witch they add their contest wins and are contract signed....isn't it the same thing? The gap between Koreans and Foureginers is thiner then u might think (not only competitive wise). EG is just an example, other teams most likely do the same, but EG made this public several times.

thats a pretty faulty summary for a fairly complicated situation as well. Yes Fruitdealer and Tester were not pure as snow, but Coach Lee wasn't an angel either.
Frankly in the previous two instances of Coach Lee going public he was either missleading in his statements or flat out wrong (The Puma drama and the FD/Tester situation). So no with that track record behind him, i am not going to take his word if he is contradicted by someone who doesn't have such a shady background in their buisness dealing.
Ps: To the people trying to lecture us that "of course" a contract means they cannot leave, no that is not correct. Most contracts either detail how they can leave, or assign penalties regarding what happens if they leave without proper procedure. We don't know the details (as seems to be the case quite often) regarding this specific contract, hell we don't even truly know what exactly happened. All we know so far is that alive moved out of his team house and doesn't represent TSL anymore and Coach Lee is pissed and considering legal action.
If aLive broke his contract he will most certainly regret it, but there is no reason for Coach Lee to jump on the drama wagon and make a mess of the situation.

U might be right can't deny that, but the profesionalism level is the same however u look at it. The fact that certain goverments have yet to accept esports as a job is something that can be debated somewere else, but from a profesionalism and implication of the players point of view we are atleast on the same level as KR...atleast it should be...some teams like EG, Fnatic, CoL, SK that have alot of history behind them certenally take esports as a real job even if it's legal or not..and that's what matters on the long run + back on topic, even if it's not a real job outside korea, contracts are still real and very much respected.
So the fact that in KR esports is a job, how does it influence this story, or even courts in general? we can do the same at any given point in time. I think it's JUST related to a cultural thing..nothing else...witch i think they throw in any discussion like it's a shield. Whatever noob thing they do...they just say "it's cultural" and expect everyone to go "ooo...ok..why didn't u say so"...things don't work like that when matters become international. However "cultural" it might be, things should meet in the middle....don't expect 1 side to accept everything u say or do...because that simply doesn't work on a long run.

There has to be something wrong with the way coach Lee manages his team, there is a reason for all these guys leaving the team (Killer, trickster, puma, fruitdealer, Rain, Clide, JYP, now aLive...) it's not just "bad luck"

I think Coach Lees logic behind the FD/TesteR drama was right. FD and TesteR are his employees, they are supposed to work x ammount of hours every weekday. But if they dont even show up to the workplace he doesn't have any obligations of paying them their salary. Even if Coach Lee didnt pay them, he was 110% right in not paying them.
