Discussing the controversy and stating your opinions in a constructive way is fine, but there will be bans for any player/organization bashing without anything to substantiate it. |

If a player is under contract he can only leave because of following: 1) contract expires 2) someone buys him out of the contract 3) management decides to release him. None of these 3 happened, but he still left the team. thereby he breached his contact. Oh, then that is completely unrelated to the Fnatic story. Why did it come up only now? Shouldn't this have become an issue the time he left the team? Since news of him breaching his contract came along with the news of the accusations against Fnatic, I thought he breached his contract by talking to another team or something along those lines. He just left the team a couple of days ago. It was becoming official today since aLive had his GSL group today, and he was about to show up there without a TSL jacket. I think it's pretty logical that he released the statment today.

People are not saying they know, they assume or guess, based on what has happened this time and in the past. (Namely being that a few players left TSL out of their own will.)

It's unusual for any Korean players or coaching to be so publicly accusatory or drama inducing in general. I would be curious to see what information and from whom triggered this accusation from coach Lee.

The Fnatic statement is pretty specific with its wording when it states there was no "formal offer". Following that up by saying there was a casual conversation between friends kind of leads to the idea that at some point at least the subject of money/teams was raised in aLive's conversations with the fnatic translator.

You go to him, you offer him a spot in your team... and if he is interested, then you go discuss contract business with his manager. Logical step.
Completely wrong in normal competitive sports actually. Its not just like a normal job.
The term is "tapping up" and refers to when you speak to a player with a view to persuading them to transfer without getting permission to do so from their current team. Its a huge problem sometimes with the likes of Barcelona and Manchester City accused of it lately. Arsenal were especially angry last summer over Barcelona's attempt to sign Fabregas.
I'm pretty sure FIFA has rules against it, but SC2 doesn't have an equivilant body so its not "formally" against any rules (because there are none). However its extremely disrespectful to their current team.

What i don't like is that everyone blames Fnatic like they came with some shady offer. What if aLive asked his friend (the fnatic translator) about how things are over fnatic...how players are payed etc. What if he was the first to open up the discussion meaning that he was interested in joining fnatic, and the translator...simply answered his questions...

In football (soccer, to all americans ) teams are allowed to approach a player directly in the last half year before the contract expires. If they want to talk to the player before that period they have to first ask the other team if they are ok with them contacting the player.
SC2 needs a regulating body to implement those kinds of rules imo, but on the other hand regulating institutions like KESPA and FIFA (can) have major drawbacks, as we all know.
Edit: @BasilForSkin: I was just saying that people assume that there is something wrong within TSL because "many" players left the team voluntarily. At least that is how I read those posts.

I think the point is that we can all see that TSL has a lot of trouble keeping players on their roster, and Coach Lee is really good at causing drama. Thus people are becoming suspicious of TSL and Coach Lee.

scumbag fnatic needs to just quit. if you cant get good players legitimately how about you provide ways to get your current players to there level.
my fnatic support officially ends now.

If that means making public statements about people wrongdoing him and his team, then that shouldn't be considered a bad thing.
