It's still an awful statement in general. What if the role claimer is the last angel, there are demons left and our channeler is dead? There are other similar scenarios where lynching the role claimer is absolutely correct, especially when the claim makes no sense as at all in the context of his play and the role he claimed DOES make sense in the context of someone else whose flip was concealed. In this case the only reason I'm likely willing to lynch RoL instead is because it's actually better jail the AoD than kill it immediately.

Yes, there are situations where lynching a role-claimer is correct, an example of which is if RoL suddenly pops up right now and roleclaims something, I am totally fine with lynching him. I guess I shouldn't put it in such an extreme way, but right now I'm very sure lynching RoL and jailing HoD is miles better than the other way round. (I actually do agree with you on all points, including that they are most likely angels)

Bluelightz vote RebirthOfLeGenD before you disappear again

Can't talk much, going to class.
RoL has ONLY focused on BH, plus he has been too busy to scumhunt for the first 2 days but wasn't too busy to come up with a plan that was anti-town. ##Vote: RebirthOfLegend

Nothing about HoD defence suggests to me that he is town. But banishing him allows us to determine whether he is the AoD. (it is improbable that he would be banished, the AoD would be somebody else, and they would then miss).
The important thing for now is where is RoL?
Since there appear to be no other candidates are we left to vote RoL by default? Should we really be voting to kill RoL?

I will vote just before 8:00 KST. You will know why.

With 13 alive, 7 votes are required to lynch.
Current votes:
RebirthOfLeGenD (4): Grackaroni, Zephirdd, Blazinghand, -Zephirdd, -Grackaroni, Spaackle, Refallen, Grackaroni
HarbingerOfDoom (2): Tyrran, syllogism, layabout, Grackaroni, Zephirdd, -Zephirdd, -Tyrran, -Grackaroni
Spaackle (1): Zephirdd, -Zephirdd, Zephirdd
Bluelightz (1): Jackal58
Blazinghand (1): RebirthOfLeGenD
The Day 3 deadline is at January 15 2012 10:00 KST. (That's approximately 10:23:15 from now.) I mean come on, you guys only have three of my four current voters as scum suspects, Grack, Spackle, and pop... Err I mean BH.
But yeah, clearly you are on the right track. I mean HoD role claimed, as long as there is no CC then he's obviously town, right? Remember that time I said any role claims after a flip CANNOT be trusted? This is that time, if you want to believe blindly and you believe his breadcrumb was true, fine, use his townie nature to prove your thoughts, but trusting a claim after a no flip is just asinine.
Yes, my only case so far was on BH, because he's scum. The guy spent entire day two tunneling me and harping about my "bad" plan and then used that to justify a lynch on me. The entire time he misrepresents everything I was saying, its completely absurd.
Sorry I don't have all the time in the world to sit around here and post, but I have a job among other things that occupies me. As I said, when I get home tonight I will put out my thoughts on other players and if you think that's scummy, then sorry. I simply can't play this game for 10+ hours a day.

Aside from your plan (the merits of which have been mostly ignore), what have you done to help town?
|
I did an analysis on BH, and posted a retarded amount should you ever feel the need to actually look at me and need to analyze me.
|
I am heading to work though, but there is one last fun fact I am going to point out that you should all consider. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=298603&user=133498¤tpage=18 This is BH's filter. Read the last 5 pages of it or so. Only the last 3 apply to today. He focuses solely on me and doesn't talk about the HoD lynch at all. He focuses on his case against me.
All of a sudden your #1 scum suspect in HoD does a claim and everyone just backs off of him.
It's quite a coincidence that while I am sure BH is scum and pretty damn sure he's an Angel, he refused to attack or even comment on this other guy who then works up a claim that most likely won't be countered since if they are both Angels, they will both know what Wiggles flipped to begin with.
Sigh x.x
|
So you think taht your analysis on BH is the only contribution you have made that is worth paying attention to?
|
My plan is good too, but you guys didn't want to use it, which is your prerogative. My only analytical contribution has been BH so far. I will try to post a bit from work, I think I have my laptop in my car or I can use my cell phone, but nothing long winded is going to come out in a 30 minute break.
|
when do you think you could post something substantial by? we have like 10 hours..
|
There's a reason why the entire town disagreed with you're plan. . . it's bad. If all scum players simply claim VT then you get a trade off of having a confirmed voting block of 4 blue roles in exchange for them risking being shot or roleblocked which basically gets rid of their roles. The execution was also very bad. The chance of a townie in this game lying to protect themselves or take a shot seems pretty likely to me.
All you're plan did was waste people's time and cause a couple of people to claim VT, which is bad for town. You''re not helping by tunneling on BH, if you're extremely confident that he is scum than you can continue to push him but it doesn't mean that you should ignore everyone else. Surely there are other people in this game acting scummy besides BH, but you haven't bothered to push them.

The Q&A post has been updated with new questions and their answers

somebody hasn't read the OP...
|
Okay... I'm severely hung over and that limits my ability to think right now... And read... And comprehend... And even sitting up is hard...
The way I see it is that HoD and RoL is both a lynch i can support.
RoL for his passive play and his really long post on BH which actually didn't say much. And why does he keep the argument with BH instead of just posting more analysis? He complaints about BH taking all his time, well then don't answer him - or answer in a way that ends the discussion - and post analysis instead. I don't consider his plan-suggesting as scummy as others but i think i made that clear earlier.
HoD for his implication during the nightactions. Is he the AoD? Maybe. The post that Wiggles made that syllo quoted is a really good catch by syllo. Wiggles basicly says in a round about way that there is no way that RoL is demon. The way it was written implied that he knew something others did not. Comebine this with this from day 1 from Wiggles:
P.S. RoL is a good shot for the Demon-hunter right now, as well as the Acolyte (If he's not on your team, that is).
So if Wiggles was Sage it would have made sense for him to target RoL. This means that his claim looks worse.
So why wait with lynching HoD? We can send him to purgatory and if we get no ??? kill we got our AoD. That is a plan that CAN NOT fail since banish it done before slay, so even if the acolyte hits our channeler the plan worked.
What do we end up doing if HoD is not the AoD? Lynch him anyway? If that is the plan we might aswell lynch him now. Or do we look at it when that time comes?
My vote is saved for RoL, but I'll do it later as to not open up for hammer possibilities.
|
RoL didn't even change his vote to HoD and barely put any effort into his defense, again. Similarly HoD didn't bother commenting on the lynch, defend himself or vote for RoL. If they are both angels as appears likely, it doesn't seem like they can win, which explains the apathy. Jailing AoD rather than killing is marginally better because then angels will have, at most, access to Stalk and not Slay. When AoD is dead, acolyte can Slay, though the flip won't be concealed.
Of course if we somehow think RoL could be town and might convince us of that tomorrow, then lynching HoD is better.
