Starcraft Newsmonger Site Launched Thursday, December 27, 2001 Starcraft Newsmonger is officially open for business! In light of a confirmed report of Starcraft II's code being begun, we at SC Newsmonger felt it was an impeccable time to launch our site. See the Starcraft II section for more details and welcome to the site!
------
It's Official! Well, looks like Blizzard is in an embarrassing situation yet again. For the second time this year, one of their unannounced projects has been leaked to the public. Finally.... Starcraft fans rejoice! Starcraft 2 is in the works! We don't know much of what the game will be like but, it's been confirmed that the gameplay will be the traditional Warcraft/Starcraft RTS style. Newsmonger's own inside sources at Blizzard have uncovered that the Xel'Naga will now be a playable race along with the original 3.
The Story If you've read the story line that comes with the Starcraft game, then you already know that the Xel'Naga are a highly advanced race obsessed with "the study and propagation of sentient evolution within the universe." They were responsible for the creation of both the Zerg and Protoss races. Starcraft 2 was hinted at in Broodwar's bonus level when Duran (a renegade agent of the Xel'Naga) revealed to Zeratul that he had been experimenting with combining the Zerg and Protoss races into a single "super-race" of unbeatable hybrids using the forbidden Xel'Naga teachings. Now, in sc2, the Xel'Naga finally make an appearance to defend their honor and the Universe from Duran's hidden agenda. I think we can expect them to kick some serious ass! Newsmonger's investigative team has even managed to get a unit list.

The It's official part hints to this being posted a long time ago, pre-beta even. So probably false.

And i thought to myself, "Self is there anything that Blizzard has said they will put into a game and then haven't? HMMMM...... clan support, the map store to name 2. I'm sure there are a ton more." troll post or not, this is irrelevant.

Arbiter/Dark Templar Combo: Double the cloaking power with the arbiter/dark templar combo! When attacking with dark templars, be sure to accompany them with an arbiter or two. When the enememy destroys the arbiter to reveal your cloacked units, they will be shocked to find that they are still unviewable! Although your arbiters are lost in the confusion of battle, your dark templars will still be there, standing strong, slashing away at your opponents base as well as their their hopes of victory. Adun Toridas!

Anonymous (Blizzard inside source) This mysterious man is rarely seen in person by the other SCNM staff members. Forced to conceal his identity in order to keep his job at Blizzard Entertainment, he lurks in the shadows and appears only when necessary to report news on the latest workings at Blizzard. A master of underground insider intelligence, this ex-KGB agent has pledged his services to us in hopes that his knowledge of starcraft2's development will enter the public domain. Countless nights have gone by where the staff has stayed late hoping for a phone call from this enigmatic man. In offices lit only by the ambient glow of computer monitors, we sit with sweaty palms and beating hearts, waiting for the vital information that only he can provide us.
This guy is the inside man. Wow this website is amazing!!
EDIT: And yeah, if you read the post you should´ve noticed that its from 2001. I thought the speculation was quite funny, even though it might be a troll. It could be guesses though!
