Q: Thoughts on advancing to the third round?
A: I'm just not especially inspired. Honestly, I don't have much interest in Code A.
Q: What did you think of the games?
A: It seems like opponents' excessive understanding of me is falling by itself. The games weren't that difficult.
Q: From the beginning of the games, Luvsic went with an aggressive style.
A: Recently I've been practicing ZvZ a lot, so I didn't have problems. My ZvZ is at a peak.
Q: It hasn't been long since you played in Dreamhack and returned to Korea.
A: In my games with Puma, even though I saw all of my opponent's build, my reaction was late so I lost. If I had gotten past my match with Puma, I might have been able to aim at winning, but I didn't, so it's regrettable.
Q: Recently you're playing a lot in foreign tournaments, isn't that difficult?
A: Since I've recently been going to foreign tournaments often, I feel like I'm not managing my condition well. So for a while I think I will focus on only Korean tournaments. After the Blizzard Cup ends, I will take a break and prepare for next year's season.
Q: Last season, your result in Code S wasn't that good.
A: I think I was overconfident. I thought that if I rose to Code S I could get to the Round of 4 easily, but that was a misjudgment. So I think that was a big experience [T/N like it was a shock to his previous way of thought]. Since now I have thrown away all overconfidence, I will practice hard and get into Code S.
Q: Who do you want to face in the third round?
A: My winrate in ZvP is better than in my ZvT. So I want to play against a Protoss.
Q: It feels like your ZvT isn't as good as in the past, why do you think that is? [T/N sorry this sounds rude in English but the interviewer isn't being snarky or anything]
A: I think I made a lot of mistakes. Since mistakes stacked up, my losses were connected. If I can reduce my mistakes, I think I will be able to regain my past ZvT ability.
Q: If you get into next season's code S, how far do you think you will go?
A: Code S has become difficult, but I think if I practice hard I will be able to remain in Code S.
Q: Anything else you want to say?
A: Fans have been really supporting me but I'm not able to show good form, so I'm sorry. Since I'm working hard now, I hope that people will support me a lot in the future.

Q: You've advanced to the third round.
A: I practiced hard and had a good result, so I'm happy.
Q: Your opponent was Genius.
A: More than preparing for the maps, I focused on practicing on ladder. My fundamentals had fallen, so in order to raise them, for a week I just played on ladder. It seems like that helped somewhat.
Q: Comparatively, you won easily.
A: It was similar to results in practice. Since I practiced a lot, my reaction to all situations was good.
Q: Your next opponent is Forgg/Fin.
A: I think it will be fun. I think my last games against him were 2 or 3 years ago, but since he is a player coming from Starcraft 1, I think he will do well. But I will practice hard and definitely win.
Q: ForGG said that he wanted to prove his TvZ ability through his opponent.
A: It will be hard to prove his ZvT with me as his opponent. I will show him the fear of Code S.
Q: The Code S format has changed.
A: It's become better for players on the bottom rising. But it's become a situation where players in Code S have to work harder to stay in.
Q: Anything else you want to say?
A: Genius is the only player who can't stop mutas even when he knows about them. I wanted to say this (laughs). Also, I want to thank Alive who came to the studio and loaned me his earbuds, and I want to thank Jung-gyun for cheering for me as well as Coach Won and Coach Kim and my teammates who are waiting at the teamhouse.

Q: Thoughts on advancing to the third round?
A: I thought there were three possible results. The first would be to win two games very easily, the second would be to lose two games in a row, and the third would be to have long management fights over winning and losing. But the games went according to the first manner. The games went the best way for my situation, but the last possibility would have made all interesting games for fans, so it is a little bit regrettable.
Q: The games were short but left a deep impression.
A: These were strategies that even if they failed, it was possible to go into a management game. So even during practice it was fun. If I didn't do a lot of damage and went to the last game I wasn't at an advantage, but they were strategies where if it went to the late game I could see cases where I could make the games go at my pace.
Q: In the second game, you won at the end of a base trade.
A: I was prepared for the strategy Virus chose. During practice, that situation happened a lot, so I was able to react calmly.
Q: How did you make the medivac-reaper strategy?
A: This was a strategy I made difficultly while restraining myself from practicing on ladder. I know some similar strategies are used on ladder, but I made a strategy that could go into management after getting nitro-pack reapers.
Q: Who do you want to face in the third round?
A: Making strategies is really hard for it, so I hope to avoid TvT. Recently when I play my hands shake a lot. In other competitions they don't shake, but strangely in GSL they've started shaking. In order to overcome this situation, I think I will have to meet and defeat a strong player. So since Zenio and Marineking are both good players, it doesn't matter much. Just since I've been playing TvT a lot lately, my strategies have been exposed, so I hope to play Zenio.
Q: How big do you think your chances of returning to Code S are?
A: Because there are two chances, won't it be over 70%? I will do my best in order to be able to meet fans in Code S next season.
Q: You've been showing games to foreign fans frequently, but it has been a long time since you played in front of Korean fans; do you feel confident you can return to Code S?
A: These days there are a lot of good players so I've become worried, but I wonder whether I won't be able to advance if I practice hard. More than the opponent, raising my confidence in my abilities is important. Like I said in the interview after I got through the qualifiers, if I work hard to improve my skills, I think I will be able to show a good result.
Q: Anything else you want to say?
A: I want to thank Lots, Taeja, Clide, MMA, Ryung, and Ganzi for practicing with me. Also, I want to thank Ryu Won for helping me make and sharpen my build as well as owner Kim Gayeon. Especially, while I was practicing I often forgot the nitro pack upgrade, but during practice Gayeon continually whispered to me to get the upgrade. Owing to that, I was able to not forget the upgrade.

Q: Thoughts on advancing to the third round?
A: It seems like a long time since I've won in GSL, so I'm really happy. I will work hard in my remaining games and stay in Code S.
Q: In the first game, you chose to do a management mech style.
A: Compared to other maps, using mech on Dual Sight is easy. Also, I tried to change my style in order to show a different appearance.
Q: In the first game your opponent held out with roaches, and weren't you in a bad position when he stopped the first attack?
A: Because roaches are weak against tanks or thors, even though the first attack failed, I was able to follow it up.
Q: In the second game, your sharp killing move stood out.
A: I had prepared mech management styles for all three games today. But in the second game, I changed my strategy on the fly. Since I was up 1:0, I made a bold move, and it seems to have turned out well.
Q: Recently it feels like your ability has fallen.
A: These days I'm participating in a lot of foreign tournaments, so I haven't managed my condition well. So now my abilities aren't satisfying. In the past there were a lot of cases where I wasn't able to show my ability in broadcast games so I lost, but nowadays my abilities themselves have problems. So now I will focus on fixing my weaknesses while playing good players.
Q: Your next opponent is Boxer.
A: Boxer is famous, so he is well known as a player who you will have interesting games with. I too am a fan of him, but since I'm playing against a player I like it's regrettable, but this is how I expected. I want to experience Boxer's ability to sharpen builds in person. Since I am also good at making builds, this time a chance has come to compare who is better at making them.
Q: In order to play in the Blizzard Cup, you absolutely need to win the gold medal in WCG.
A: I think if MVP wasn't in it, my chances of winning would be over 50%, but since MVP is playing, I've discarded my ambition to win the gold medal and will focus on showing all my skills. In that way, I think if I'm lucky I can win the gold medal. If it's possible, I hope that I don't play MVP. I want to face him again after I've improved my skills in TvT.
Q: Anything else you want to say?
A: I want to thank TeriousPrime for helping me in practice. Some time ago a friend of mine had a bad experience, so I'm very sorry. I want to say “Cheer up.” Even though it was a tough experience, they didn't give up and showed a diligent form, so I'm proud. In the future too, I hope they will keep working hard.
