And I speak this sincerely, I am a Jaedong fan and a Oz fan, but I found extremely annoying a team like that reaching 08-09 finals just because of this ACE Match system. No finals? You're kidding me right? there are going to be two finals. one for each season

WL saved your asses so you could get a Playoff spot as #3, your regular PL format record in the first 2 rounds was terrible.(last rounds also not amazing)

Cat , maybe these is kespa response to audience complaining that sets are too long , so they are going to get bored by having bo7 plus an ace option . I think bo5 is not that bad but taking out ace option is really a bad idea for team's like kt T_T . On another note, if shin han bank is no where in sight as sponsors who else will be sponsoring proleague ?

I feel like that's actually going to make people less likely to stay until the end, if their favorite player (Flash, Jaedong, Bisu, etc.) has already played. Moreover, those favorite ace players can now only play a maximum of 42 games over the whole year, it seems, as opposed to close to double that. Not only that, but no ace vs. ace means significantly fewer superlative Starcraft matches will be fought this year in favor of simple sniping. On the whole, it seems like good Starcraft just got downsized.

I'm also really happy players don't have to prepare for as many as 2 PL matches a week anymore. That was f'n insane.

tl;dr: rookies don't get exposure in bad teams, and in good teams they already did, all this does is remove fan excitement about ace match in the possibility that their favorite player/the best player on their team could come out and have an epic match / rematch
