Yes, because he won the one game that mattered. There is no such thing as an undeserving win in a standard match without any referee faults.

If you're even going to argue that, then why have tournaments at all? Instead, let's just give prizes to the people at the top of the ladder. Wouldn't that be more fair?
EDIT: Let me elaborate. Yes, it is possible that the "better" player may not always win in a Bo1 or Bo3 in a tournament. But that does not mean he doesn't deserve his win.

Nice to see MC advancing as well! Screwing over his teammate? Yeah, seems like a really cool guy. Individual league + enough SlayerS players to ensure they will most likely end up in the same group somewhere + SlayerS players making in house rivalries to increase skill + whoreallycaresareyouserious? Would you never want to play your friends on the big stage? It doesn't mean you purposely pick your teamamte knowing there is probably a 99% chance you are screwing him over. If they ended up in the group by chance, fine whatever, that happens. But purposely picking him? Especially when you know it's going to be an easy win for you? Thats pretty low. Can't believe you guys are supporting MMA here. He made a dick move and fucked over his teammate. Maybe if Yugioh had just won the past GSL or whatever, or was already a very sucessfull player, but the dude just made it into Code S after how many seasons? And then you just decide to knock him back into Code A? Not cool. I'd feel pretty betrayed if I was Yugioh.
Relax man. Chances are that lots of joking around is going on in the Slayers house and there may be backdoor bets (which happen all the time) that are going on. Looks weird on the surface, but I'm sure there's some weird unknown explanation that originated in the Slayers house. We can't look too far into it.

Nice to see MC winning again, I feel like sC will be a better barometer of his current skill though. Ryung looked lost in TvP, and the game against MMA never felt close after MC's failed early aggression.
|
MC played some horible strats against mma. I truly hope he does better in the future. His early aggressions are deadly as ever, but he has to get some standard game plan going, that can succeed in a longer game, :o

I really don't understand this perspective at all... Why do people insist on having race balance when its player skill that matters. do we really want Inca and Hongun back in over the likes of DRG or Sc simply to fufill racial balance... I really dislike the anti T/Z sentiments in the community over the fact that the protoss players simply weren't performing well.
and MC isn't making a comeback..hes doing exactly what hes done for the past 6 months. If his opponents die to gateway timings he'll probably get further in the GSL...if not he'll lose. His play hasn't evolved as far as I see. Sorry

Unfortunately I agree. Though it would definitely be nice to see a rounded tournament in terms of races, the fact of the matter is that there aren't enough strong Protoss players (or even Zerg) in Korea compared to Terran.
And though I'm a MC fan, yeah I'm still not seeing that domination he used to hold with strategies that start making you think protoss was OP =P
Anyway as I said, MC and Nestea are basically champions of their race in the community's eyes. If MC or Nestea lose, balance whines ensue (see: 40 pages of zerg whine in this LR thanks to sC winning *gasps*). I mean, I believe that balance hasn't been perfected, but I do just find it interesting how much sway MC and Nestea's games have on popular opinion.

IDK if this has already been posted, but where can I find the vod of 'charades with tastosis'? Do I need to pay?
|
Abit of fine tuning and YugiOh looks like he could be an absolute beast of a zerg player.
Little work on his unit control, baneling nest a little earlier, making sure to get those upgrades. Could be pretty scary imo...
I reckon a trip to an MLG would be a good experience for him.
ps.. dat creep spread

Head of zerg, woman? Nestea!

Good stuff, happy for sC managing to come back after makarax.

Ye strange thing with Yogioh, seemed to me like he was just switching off after certain time. Dunno if it was planned or he was nervous.

Nice to see MC advancing as well! In no way did SC clearly deserve the number 1 spot. 2port banshee is the definition of a coin-flip strategy. Coinflip is risk. He risked it and he succeeded so he deserves the win. Risktaking is acceptable. It shows a flaw in a BO1 format, though. You should not be able to be number 1 off of taking a crazy risk like that and getting lucky once against a far superior player.
A far superior player? LOL you guys needa get off nestea's dick seriously. He barely beat sc back in gsl may. Quit riding the artosis nestea hype, its annoying as shit. Sc may not have played a macro game this time, but that doesn't mean he's undeserving.
Sc has top tier tvz, up with the ranks of mvp, mma, mkp. I'm honestly getting annoyed as hell listening to artosis talk about nestea as if he's a god.

Omg charades with Tasteless and Artosis too funny.

ahha...and good player's coins "usually" flip on the right side (whenever its a good scout in the middle of no where or six-sense decision). If you want to take it that far, Nestea should have scouted earlier and not flipping a coin himself regarding what follow up sC will come up with.
Nestea reacted well to sC's opening, sC reacted well to that.
