I do not get this ONE bit. Sure start a discussion, but because someone said that they do not think your previous "idols" were as great as what you hold as your standards as the proper idol you decide to post a reply in which you KNOW everyone will jump behind due to your "e-fame power". I mean I pose this question to wheat if he likes posing such a question to Milkis: Why are you attacking someone with so much hostility in your posts when he has posted his opinion? edit- Anyone realize this horrible drama is stemmed of as mentioned in my post Wheat's reply in reddit. Anyone also realize that Wheat has completely jumped off the wagon in terms of what Milkis was saying and what Wheat was replying to? I mean Milkis really in no way undermined what the players in the sports have done themselves as to what Wheat seems to have taken out of that post (He seems to understand Milkis has spent majority of the post trying to convey a picture of a nice big middle finger to all other progamers). Milkis was more or less talking about how if you split up the games and the people that view those games the way in which the entirety of the systems works are on two total levels where majority of the games are still not at the level that bw has reached as the pinnacle of true esports (this is me changing up some words to shorten a lengthy opinion) which really isn't what wheat seemed to have taken out of this.

Since his Blizzcon appearance JP's been getting a decent bit of slack about his commentating. http://twitter.com/#!/itmeJP <--- Check his reaction to finding out about his Sean-o-meter video. I'm not saying that he's gotten even nearly as much bad press as Milkis has, but his reaction to that has genuinely turned me into a fan of his. Just something to consider, if Milkis had simply said "yeah fuck it, what I wrote was pretty harsh, but despite taking on board some of the criticisms, I still believe I was right that BW is the only game that can truly say it's reached that elusive goal of being considered a real 'sport' " ... people would have forgotten about the whole thing in a few days.

I watch quake and cs1.6 as much as I can but I play neither of those games. I don't think your personal anecdote that you watch some games compares to say, 100,000 people watching a Proleague finals live. And obviously you are still a gamer after all right, we're talking about an entirely different audience here.

He just put the bar at being an esport at or above what BW is right now for some decent reasons, then gave 90% of his post to describing the past BW scene. Then people got all angry because hungry-hungry hippos with MaxisOnline is now not an esport. Too true. It's like after saying, "That's not a knife, THIS is a knife!" there's a huge public outcry against you about how you're demeaning the entire switchblade industry, and a community of balisong twirlers tell you how you're shitting all over how hard they practice. Clearly one knife is just much bigger and far more serious than the other, and the rhetoric is only trying to magnify that difference that would otherwise be lost within the collective noun "knives." + Show Spoiler [Can't believe I have to referenc…] +

I played many competitive games, I enjoyed playing them, I enjoyed watching some of them...But nothing compares... But if you think that lesser skilled/talented athletes or players are as worthy to watch than the top of the top...I'll gadly get a time travel machine, go back to my 12th birthday, play halo until my 13th birthday and get back to my 12th birthday...Cause if you think really so, then i live in a crazy world and i should probably go crazy...
