Almost every RPG game has a form of spider creature in it, and I have not once heard anything like this. I remember when Dragon Age came out there were multiple threads on how to mod the spider models to look like Wolve ones. Also on the WoW forum´s ive seen multiple threads like this one it´s a more common problem then you would think.

On the other hand phobias are on scale and any precise cutoff points are somewhat arbitrary. Also only spread enough phobias are named and recognized because of practical considerations. But they are "recognized" only because they are spread enough not because they are "real" and the others are not. There are probably thousands of things that cause similar responses as full blown arachnophobia, the point is the response not what caused it. I guess, but this thread, and the assorted video, are just a huge joke. The creator of that video is either a huge troll fishing for reactions, or someone completely devoid of the ability to think critically. In any case, I'm going to believe it when I see someone get a panic attack from seeing a piece of pumice, or some other relatively neutral non-organic punctured object. Having a reaction to a person with holes in their skin doesn't mean anything at all. Besides, even if it were a real condition, it wouldn't mean anything. Nobody removes spiders from games because it upsets arachnophobiacs.

Since you tell people they might itch or w/e due to this video, when they watch it they actually do and believe you, whereas if they saw these things on their own, hardly anyone would notice these things. of course people are going to be uncomfortable watching that video; it's freaking weird and those things are overall disgusting. But very few would attribute it to something like Tryophobia unless prompted. Yea this. 'If you feel uncomfortable during this video, you have tryophobia', then show a video that's most people would consider uncomfortable to watch and ask people to pay attention to physical reactions. You can 'diagnose' people with anything using a method similar to this one. Currently my beard is itching, and I've therefore deducted I have a phobia of logos with blue horses :/.

I remember way back threads on the blizz forums from deaf people complaining about how nukes and nydius only have audio warnings... I also remember when Blizz added text warnings. Stop bitching.

I've literally never heard anything relating to that fear, and now I'm so accept that 10% of people have it so bad that Blizzard must change a unit so as to not physically affect people? They're not correct. OP showed a visually disturbing video and then claimed if you were disturbed you have this "phobia". And then people said they wanted the unit changed because of this. The 10% are the 10% they don't understand they were just manipulated. Look I can do it do, and did it before in this thread. If you found that disturbing you have entomophobia, should zerg be removed?

My GF and her mom are both ridiculously freaked out by anything with little holes in it. It doesn't have to be naturally occurring or covered in insects, just holes. Side of cheese-grater, a bunch of straws held tightly in your hand and viewed from the end, pores in fabric or material, even a sponge will send my GF out of the room faster than you can believe. I thought she was just kidding at first, but I have seen her straight freak-out over the smallest piece of plastic because of the pattern of holes. If you handed her a phone with this cover on it, it would be sailing across the room in 2 seconds flat: http://img.alibaba.com/wsphoto/v0/475079495_1/100-pcs-Mesh-Net-Case-Plastic-Perforated-Holes-Girding-Back-Case-Cover-For-blackberry9000.jpg That being said, I think Blizzard should make the unit look like whatever they want, and if this sort of thing disgust you, don't play zerg.

(Actual people being murdered) and didn't think anything of it. Cool story bro. On the topic i think that video (the girl mostly) was really disgusting and i can't get it out of my head. I though the swarm host was too disgusting even before this thread (although it looks even worse now). This is not like "That unit looks TERRIBLE, LoL has so much better graphs trololololo" it looks genuinely disgusting. I'd rather have a black box as a model. It won't stop me from hots though. EDIT: btw i don't think any other zerg units are disgusting at all
