I'm very aware it's irrational, and certainly watching the Swarm Host in action did make me feel very uncomfortable once I saw the locusts spawning. I have no idea where or why the phobia developed, but I do know that the fear is from the imagination of having all of these holes 'suck the life out of something'. I suppose the earliest example I recall watching was in the old James Bond movie 'Octopussy' where after a brief fight, it shows a blue ringed octopus on someone's face (and since then I can't look at octopus tentacles and their suckers without shuddering a little). I do feel that, as a Zerg player, I'll be desensitised over time as I use the Swarm Host more, because my phobia isn't strong enough to deter me from the game. I completely understand if peoples' situations are worse. | ||
