So yesterday spent about three hours in Student Health. Had a fever and very high heart rate when I went in, so they were worried about my oxygen levels, but that turned out normal. Seems it was just because I've been sick for a while.
Doctor was completely convinced that my pains were just from some bug I caught or some bullshit, but I threw a tantrum until she was convinced to at least do some preliminary autoimmune tests. I know something is wrong with my body. You should not feel in pain and like completely shit all the time for no reason. I also know my mom and both grandma's and my aunt have autoimmune diseases, so I'm really worried about having one myself.
I was already really weak and dizzy from my migraine and being sick for a while, so I was worried about having all this blood drawn. (Also phobic of needles, lol.) I went in and sat down, and the guy says, looks like we will need about 8 vials.
He stuck me and started drawing for the first one, and I just passed out. XDDD /wuss
Then I woke up and a lot of nurses were standing around making me colder than ever with cold clothes on my head and a cold fan, and apple juice and stuffs. They had to talk me through each vial to keep me awake and give me apple juice in between. Felt like I was three, lol.
Anyway, most of my tests won't be back til next week, but the CBC came back just now, and my doctor emailed me to say a lot of things are 'off', and I need to come in tomorrow morning first things for a lot more blood work. I am worried about fainting again, but I think they will probably be mindful of that this time around. Also feeling a bit better because of a migraine prescription med I got.
Mostly scarred about having something really awful wrong with me, and also worried about falling behind in classes. Need some cheerfulness and distraction. Watching IPL3. Cute kitten videos such as:
I hope you feel better~ despite the scary potential outcome, it's good you didn't let the doctor whisk you off with a shrug and a write-off, too many doctors do that to me and I never have the gall to kick up a storm.
hopefully everything will be ok the worst thing you can do in this situations is to overthink it, I did that once and I went trough the worst week of my life lol
If you end up having any autoimmune issues, check out The Paleo Thread! A lot of people have had great luck improving all manner of autoimmune stuff by eating this way.
