Just look at the Wonder Girls.
What happened to wonder girls, and im geussing it didnt work for them, but they are no where near as popular as SNSD
They were more popular than SNSD...before they went to America. See what happened there?
If what people are saying is true and they're not releasing any English songs except for the 1 then I don't see it mattering, if they go WG style, touring+full english mini albums then they'll fail. SNSD is big but not that big.
Yeah i have to agree with you, i love snsd, but if they do full english/tours and albums and try to "take over america" or something, ill probably stop listening to there music. (apart from gee)

I think what he meant was WG didn't have the level of popularity SNSD has now when WG tried the states.
SNSD and WG situations aren't even comparable. WG completely abandoned everything to try and make it in America. SNSD is releasing their album in the US alongside their Korean comeback. Totally different imo. As far as I'm aware, only the title track will be in English, and the delay is most likely related to supplying the album to the US, not any kind of English language album on 2 weeks notice.

Way back when before they started doing all kinds of useless shit in the US, SNSD and WG were like equally popular, at the very least. Atleast thats how i remember it

Miss A and Kara I'm quite OK with. 2ne1? Autotuned crap I wouldn't listen to.

I hope it's just a rumor and that SNSD won't get sent to the US like Wondergirls coz in my mind this really means the end. A concert or two a year yea that's fine, anything more and you're pretty much throwing it all away. I follow Kpop groups for a reason, I like their Koreanness. Seeing the Japanese slobbering all over them was bad enough but America? God please no...
Isn't/Wasn't 2ne1 planning to have an American debut as well?

I think this would be a smart idea if they want to get into the American music scene. One or two concerts a year would make it a somewhat big event, but not too big.
Man, why can't the Kpop industry understand. If you can't speak perfect English, you won't make it in the US. Shit, even if you speak perfect English, being Asian diminishes your chances to nothing.
Sign, why can't they just stick to mining the goldmine that is Japan.
Though, I don't think SM is foolish enough to go all out in America. There's too many failed examples for that to happen.
