Apparently the postponement came from Kyobobook then Melon removed SNSD from the Coming Soon list, then Hanteo changed the release date to the 17th, the distributors panicked and changed their shit, then Kyobobook deleted the postponement announcement and everything went back to before.
Now SM is saying 'Nothing is confirmed, we are still dealing with the situation' and refusing to elaborate. Some stores are stating that its delayed until the 6th, which is barely a delay. In terms of physical distribution, 1 day is meaningless.

A representative revealed, “It has been decided that Girls’ Generation will be releasing a US album. In order to reinforce the plans of having a worldwide release of “The Boys”, we are planning on changing the release dates of the album in Korea as well. Further details about our decision will be announced when they are confirmed.

There's a lot that one could possibly write about a band/group. Plus, they release better content like places than allkpop.
If I want to find news about Kpop, I'd rather not go to allkpop at all. I'd rather go to the international fansites who will probably have better translations on the articles or artist threads on Soompi since people repost stuff from the forums there.
