 A LITTLE OFF TOPIC BUT, does anybody know Korean? I'm currently teaching myself it but I'm having a bit of trouble with the pronunciations, ㄱ, ㄷ, ㄹ, and ㅂ all sound like k/g, t/d, l/r, p/b respectively but I can't really tell. The name Andy (앤디) came up and when I pronounce it, I can clearly hear the "D." Is it suppose to be distinguishable? Or for words like babo (바보) I can clearly hear the "B" but when I say France (프랑스) I can clearly hear a "P." Are the sounds supposed to be distinguishable, and if so when do you use the alternatives? Or is there just a difference between aspirated and tensed consonants? | ||
