This has never, ever happened before so I can only assume it's the patch. Hopefully if it is an issue with it, it will be hotfixed quickly.
Patch 1.4 PTR Notes (updated 9/8) - Page 452

Since this whole topic degenerated into the usual balance flamefest where every topic ends up if unmoderated it's time for it to clean up. Locking this down for a while. Any posts made after my post [page 233] not addressing the changes in this patch directly and containting flames or general balance whine will get banned for at least a week. ~Nyovne There is way too much flaming in this thread right now. Calm down before you post! (Page 271) ~iamke55

Pretty sure all regions use the 1 PTR server, yeah. I've never actually played with anyone except the computer on it though Speaking of the computer, any "vs AI" fags here? They have updated the AI with most patches to make it less exploitable, but it's always an unlisted change.

- zerg building value all got bumped by 50mins to include the required drone - queen is now counted towards army (on the replay/observer overlay thingies) - planetary fortress' TwinIbiksCannon was forgotten when they turned all those splash weapons into ranged ones in order to be subject to the guardian shield vOv

+ Show Spoiler + Forgive me for not reading all of the previous 400-some odd pages of posts if this was already addressed in a similar fashion, so I skimmed, but here goes: As for the overseer contaminate mana cost doubling (almost, 125 != 150, I know), and how the OP states that this seems odd as no one really seems to use it or have a problem with it, I will say this: When I first read the patch notes: overseers are now 50/50 rather than 50/100, I was like, "Woot!!! Log me on this thing time to do a mass contaminate! woot! woot! I'll read the rest of the notes later..." And then I wished I had read further, as I realized by the time my 3 seers had 75 energy each, none of them could throw a contaminate, at the point in which they flew in to try, to realize they couldn't, and barely excaped with red health... So I was upset, but then it made sense. Essentially, I can have 2 seers for the price of one, if you consider gas is the lynchpin and minerals are easy to come by, but that doesnt translate into double the number of contaminate casts. Thus, we may have to wait a little longer for contaminate to become possible, but for the same gas cost we really dont have much of a loss in total number of contaminates, although 1 seer can no longer cast 2 in succession, but must wait, charge up, cast another, etc. Honestly though, I wish the starting energy was 25-50 more energy in order to make up somewhat for the loss in cast time, though I think I know what happened: We as Zerg are getting cheaper mobile detectors, and that 50 less gas is 1-2 more units, half an upgrade, etc, which can help early on, and we'll likely see more changelings since they are the same mana, but from a cheaper caster unit, now. So, for that, I'm happy, though I don't fully agree that contaminate was balanced by "doubling" its mana cost, since the seer cost was "halved". I wish it were 100 energy, so 2 casts were still possible eventually from a seer left idle for a while. I dunno, I say contaminate is still viable, but we're just going to have to make more seers to do the same antics, prepare further in advance, and maybe use them as a dual purpose unit where, say, we get them for scouting, and know about a minute and a half later (75 energy) we may be able to delay some key upgrade, some units, etc. and they did get half as much gas cheaper... Interesting though, nonetheless, and I see their thought process, and I don't entirely disagree with the logic. ~Duncan Idaho

Roach Hydra results in Terran being up in bases because Zerg cannot do a thing to deny it. Tanks. Marines in large numbers cannot be beaten by any non aoe unit in the game, and destroy roach/hydra with medivac support. Equal supplies of marines and roach/hydra would be a funny thing to watch. Roaches and hydras just overkill way too much to be considered good dps units. They can't defeat mass stalkers I don't see how they can defeat marines. Tanks. Also, how do you deal with drops? They are so slow. Also, tanks. HA! User was banned for this post.

I think that the queen patch helped zergs to macro correctly and so they are able now to go roach hydra, if they attack early on, 3 base vs 2 base they can trade cost effectively with the terran

If you actually analyse the Stephano vs MKP game, you would have seen that Mkp made terrible decisions and played basically like a noob (as pointed out by Rotty) ~~
