I wake up in the middle of the night, and something is moving on top of the blankets. I freak out for a moment, until my eyes adjust to the darkness and I realize it's a kitten. I don't have any cats since I'm allergic to them, so it came very confusing to me how the hell it got there. Anyway, it turns out the kitten is actually quite cute and since I was barely awake myself, instead of dealing with it I just allowed it to fall asleep right there, and so do I.
I wake up later that night to an immense pain in my thumb, it turns out the cat is biting on to it and not letting go. I am forced to grab it and try forcing it off until I finally hear a snap and the kitten releases it's grip. I thought I had messed up seriously and accidentally killed it, but in the darkness I could see it run away to... A bigger cat?? That must of been it's mother. Okay, at this point I am awake and conscious enough to realize having two cats in my apartment when I don't own any is very awkward, so I decide to get out of bed to deal with it. I grab them both by the back of their necks to carry them, and walk through my dark apartment, open the front door and toss them out.
Before shutting the door again, I hear a girl out there in the middle of the night. It turns out she is my neighbor I have never met and was missing her cats. We small talk for some time until she says she has to go so I respond with a goodnight, close my door and am left alone again in my dark apartment. After the weird experience with the cats, the pain I still had in my thumb and having a conversation with a cute girl, I wasn't really ready to get back to bed. I walk over to turn on some light, and take a look around. Something is very wrong. My apartment does not look how it usually does, the desk where my computer is, is missing, and everything else is completely different. This is when I start to freak out a little, and before I could think more about it, my dad shows up.
My dad? He moved to the Philippines to pursue business opportunities a few months ago, what? This was making no sense. We start talking and I realize I was actually in his apartment visiting him. From the moment I turned on the light, to standing here talking with my dad, my heart was pounding harder and harder. I was trying to rationalize and have things make sense, but nothing in my head could seem to explain what was going on. New questions arose constantly, how had I got there? Why couldn't I remember anything? The more I thought about it, the faster my heart started to beat and the more I started to freak out, until finally, it all made sense. I'm dreaming. For a few seconds, I actually realize I'm inside of a dream, but before being allowed any further thoughts, my alarm clock goes, I'm lying in bed and it's 7am.
------------
It's weird writing about it here since it's obvious how the happenings couldn't of been reality. But at the time, it felt as real as it could get.. I'm sure you know what I mean.
The funny part is, I remember -actually- waking up briefly to the sound of my phone receiving a text in the middle of the night. I remember reading it and it was from my dad. Also, looking down at my thumb right now, I see this small wound. It wasn't there yesterday, and it hurts like hell touching
Anyway, I dream very rarely, so thought it would be interesting to document it here in the form of a blog. I hope you enjoyed... So, is there a deeper meaning? Or did I just get incepted?

What.. I don't understand how you get a wound on you're thumb without knowing but anyways. To get on with it, the reason you had this dream is because, first text from you're dad in the middle of the night. Probably had something to do about some cute girl next door that you would like who had two cats, and then you fell asleep and smacked you're thumb on ur desk or bedside table (whatever) giving you the wound and then it happened in sync with you're dream. That's probably it, or you're gonna marry some cute girl with 2 cats and then you're gonna visit you're dad with her, but she's in the room next door, and you're actually in a hotel.

Your probably still dreaming, for all you know.
You should find a spinny thingy like a beyblade (lol) or a dreidal and see if it stops spinning. If just before it stops spinning your world fades to black and a bunch of names start going falling from the sky then you're screwed.

You probably hit your thumb on your desk or something when going for your phone or something similar, and the pain is why a cat was biting your thumb in your dream, similar to how the text from your dad was the reason you were in his apartment.

A cool part of our subconscious and dreaming, is that external stimuli can be duplicated in your dream while you sleep. (IE: Phone rings next to your bed, but your subconscious incorporates the ring in your dream, such as having a phone ring in your dream. -has happened to me a few times-)
You can still have outside stimuli affect your senses like this and your subconscious incorporate those stimuli into your dreams. Say a spider bit you on the thumb... your subconscious makes a kitten bite you in a dream.
Either this happened, or you bit your thumb while you were sleeping. Try not to suck on it before nap-time eh? (Couldn't resist lol, j/k).
P.S. You dream every time you sleep. There is no-one that "dreams rarely". If you get into a deep REM cycle of sleep, typically every 3rd hour, then you dream while you sleep. The other part of that, is that unless you are woken up during that deep REM cycle, you usually do not remember the dreams you have.

If you want to remember your dreams, keep a pad next to your bed and write down what you remember as soon as you wake up.
I did this and went from "rarely" to 2-3 dreams a night. Your brain just deletes them a short time after waking up. When I stopped writing them down I stopped remembering them too.

This is why you need to make a totem. I never leave home without mine.
