I already have poor vision and a torn nerve in my eye that I am trying to baby along in hopes it will heal. Because of this, I make an effort to remember to blink, get up from time to time, etc. But the fact remains I am spending a ton of time in front of a computer screen for work (tech support), school (studying digital art and animation), and for fun (games).
One thing I noticed is that my old MacBook, which has never given me eye issues, has a more yellow tinge to it's light, while my new monitor has a more blueish-white tinge. Reading online it seems that this blue light is bad for your eyes.
I know that there are glasses you can get to help filter out the blue light, but I wear my glasses already all the time because of my poor vision, and can't wear another pair over them comfortably. Contacts are not an option for me right now. I am wondering if I can get a screen filter to put over my monitor that will do the same thing as those glasses, but I can't seem to find any via googling that shit except privacy filters and anti-glare stuff.
Any suggestions?
