We invited Naniwa, were told he'd be in Korea at that time :[ Sounds like plans might have changed in the meantime. Perhaps I should just organise some kind of Naniwa-themed event as well XD

Nice man i liek that u will have apollo as your co-caster will be awesome, looking forward to this xD.

Hey hey hey now! My invite for Naniwa was one of the 1st to go out. Was responded to with the Korea excuse. I hear all pros are dodging my invites because of Nerchio <3 jk. I guess I should stop emailing invites to managers and go to the players themselves. I thought I was following tourney ettiquette.

Cheers TB for this. And out of curiosity (if you're allowed to say), how many invites were sent out so far?
Also, obligatory fanboyism of "You should totally invite Spanishiwa" (assuming you haven't)

Prize distribution - This time, everyone is getting paid.
First Place - $1000 Second Place - $600 Third Place - $400 Fourth Place - $200
Knocked out in RO8 - $100
The philosophy of the SHOUTcraft Invitational is let's be honest, dirty stinking communist. It's about the redistribution of wealth. I take the streaming money from my gold league nonsense and redistribute it to players that don't suck. In keeping with that philosophy, I believe every pro should get paid for their time and as with the previous tournament, they will be paid promptly, not 6 months later.
I want to second this, and I am happy that you and the IPL have focused on having a sane prize money distribution. I am surprised that the horrible prize structure in for example GSL have gotten so little criticism.

Not a huge fan of getting $100 for getting knocked out (the jump from being knocked out in the RO8 to 4th place being the same amount as simply showing up is a bit odd), but I am a huge fan of totalbiscuit being an absolute baller. You rule sir.

Good stuff, i will definitely tune in. And hope all the players will be invited according to their high skill and not just the e-fame gl TB!

They are not getting paid for being knocked out, they are paid for their time and for entertaining us, its their job . Also being 4th means winning only one Bo5, so it's not so much bigger achievement than showing up in my eyes. I really like this distribution of prize pool. Looking forward to the tournament!
