Having played over 10k ladder games and reached master in 1v1, having followed all major NA, EU events, having followed most of the TL drama involving Destiny, Stephano, and others, having paid for the GOMTV subscription for several seasons I believe that I have a right to say my two cents regarding this issue.
The reason I want to speak up is that sc2 isn't doing very well and i think part of it involves shutting down players like him. Regardless of his BM and his attitude and possibly his streamcheating (for trolling purposes), he is extremely entertaining.
It's not just his BM which is entertaining, it's his play style. He is a creative and fun player to watch.
If teamliquid wants to do whats in the best interest of the community, they should stop these nonsense bans. The people behind the ban are misusing their power as mods and contributing to the end of a game that i've played and loved for the past few years.
If we want this game not to die, we need entertaining players that draw people in. like him or hate him. he accomplishes this.
Many of the big named players have made all sorts of comments that would certainly be as bad as what combatex could have done. Stephano's comments about a 14 year old girl certainly comes to mind. If the community can forgive Stephano, they can forgive combatex. The problem I think, is that its not about the community forgiving him, its about a small group of people with a little bit of power who are taking it too far.
Grow up and do whats in the best interest of the community and the e-sport and let the entertaining players come back.
