Today compLexity Gaming and Team MvP are announcing the abatement of our nearly year long partnership. This is due solely to competing sponsor products.
coL.MVP will no longer compete as a joint squad nor attend events under that name. Moving forward both organizations will continue to be informally affiliated and will work together on different initiatives when possible. Team MvP will continue to offer housing for compLexity players who desire to train in Korea.
Its not hugely surprising, sponsors are the sole lifeblood of teams, and conflicting sponsors is counter productive for both. That being said, it seems like there will be very little change in the practical relationship, bar them no longer competing together in team leagues. MVP will still host coL players, and will still "work together on different initiatives". It seems that foreign-korean partnerships were all the rage, but are becoming less relevant, as long as foreigners can find somewhere in Korea to stay, and as Korean teams are finding their own sponsors.
Edit: I feel like I should have put a more dramatic, Artosis-esque hype title, to get dem drama views, "Revised" isn't nearly scary enough.
More surprised they're staying affiliated at all then at this announcement. Although it isn't too farfetched since complexity would want to try and keep a home base in korea if they send players.

Saw this coming, DRG hasn't been tagged up for months now, no coverage on the compLexity website of MVP players, etc. Glad to see it's finally out there.

its funny because in most of the cw's complexity players lose 0-2 and mvp players win their 2 games , theyre finally gonna have to pick up the slack if they want to continue to win without the help of mvp

Saw this coming since last MLG where drg wasn't introduced as colmvpdrg, but just as mvpdrg. His bnet name was also just mvpdrg and not colmvpdrg and also he didn't wear the split col/mvp jersey either. Complexity has a lot of their own koreans now so they most likely can't afford to fly out their own koreans plus mvp koreans to foreign events.
Too bad :/ Really like the partnership, it seemed to be working well with good interaction between the teams, unfortunate that the sponsorships conflicted. At least the relationship will continue informally, which is important.
