More or less this. Honestly, if they want to treat you as someone lesser because of a single show (that they probably haven't watched), then they aren't really friends. I could go on, but it's best that i don't. Go make your new friend and see where it takes you.

idd, or in my case they are but its something you simply dont discuss with them, theres lots of other friends you can have who do like that stuff to, if your willing to look anyway or you could just bump into em, either way Its not like playing games and watching anime is the only thing you do (hopefully), so theres nothing wrong with having a hobby you keep for yourself.
and I saw Blast playing Ganzi, couldnt see the game but he looked really into it, hope he enjoyed himself (fyi that player pass is totally worth it.)

I was watching this on a long car ride across the country when my friend sitting next to me in the car saw that I was watching an anime, and she said that she liked anime and asked if she could watch it with me, not knowing what happen in the end I let her watch. It was going great she like the story she teared up a little at the sad parts, and it was going really well...UNTIL THE LAST EPISODE!!! If I knew that was going to happen I never would of let her watch it. Now she is scared shitless of anime and is mad at me for watching it!

I kinda feel for you, I went through the same thing also. Except that I looked up School Days on my own and was intrigued to watch it only cause I thought the artwork looked pretty (I was expecting something like Mashiro-Iro Symphony). I didnt let the fact that I saw "Horror" as part of its genre stop me, boy was I a fool...
