Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion.

For regular posters, don't quote the trolls.

So my conclusion is, if we gays cannot marry, then you cannot divorce.

Well said. Love it.

Whether you're talking religion or not, everything eventually comes down to "believing" that something is "right or wrong", and not having evidence for it.

If I asked someone to objectively prove to me that murder/rape/incest/stealing/etc. is "wrong", no one would be able to do it. In fact, the Socratic method would very quickly destroy any sort of logic or reasoning that people would try to use to "prove" that these things are right/wrong. In the end it all comes down to the gut feelings you have about certain behaviors, actions, lifestyles, etc....there IS no logic or reasoning that supports this.

Bottom line: any "views" you hold in a "good discussion" don't really have evidence or logical backup at all; when you get to the very foundation of WHY you believe that something is good/bad/neutral/etc., you will find that it IS just a "core belief" (i.e. a "gut feeling" or notion that you have inside you).

Mora, I've posted in this thread earlier and think it's a great thread but I still do believe that you should keep comments like thses out. We get it you're gay there's no reason why you shouldn't like penises. But comments like these are just provocative and will not lead to anything good. So yeah though there are a lot of (pardon my language) dickheads out there who bash you for being gay must you sink down to their level and also be provocative.

As I mentioned earlier in this post I think it's great to know your story as well as the struggles of a homosexual. Eventhough this is the internet, I for one believe that you don't really need the details or even using sentences as the one i quoted because it doesn't sit right with some. But I'll say this again this is a great thread but please stop using phrases like this. And of course I'm not supporting the bashers by any means they're far worse since they don't have the ability to tolerate how some people actually are born.

So to conclude my statement, shut up gay bashers, and keep the discussion a bit cleaner and mora don't feed the trolls :p

A little crude humor never hurt anyone, especially seeing as we are in a gay-themed thread. Most of us gays have a more lax attitude towards innuendo and provocative talk. Usually the people most offended are the ones who can't handle a few 'adult' laughs. ;p

BUT, seeing as I am a little biased (being such a homo, and all), I guess I can't see (or understand) the stand-offishness for other people who see those comments.

In one post, ive single handedly made a defense and broken it down all at the same time.

Being a Gemini is confusing sometimes.

sweet holy jesus i feel like a douchebag. everyone stop apologizing and just get on topic. lol

Question for the other gays on tl.net: how old are you?

The gay sc nerd duckling that i used to be has grown into quite a responsible life-consumed mallard. I wouldn't be able to imagine 8 years ago who i am today, nor would i be able to fathom how comfortable i am in my own skin and with my environment at large.

Where on the spectrum are most tl.netians sitting (this can go for non-gays, too!)?

Where are the ducklings and where are the mallards? (or maybe another type of billed animal?)

Haha, you were simply informing us. That was pretty generous of you if anything.

But 16 year old twink here. Started question when I was 14, went bi at 15 and convinced myself I was gay shortly after.

But quick question Mora. Did you ever have trouble relating to other gay guys when you were quite the SC nerd? In my high school, most of the gay guys there are pretty outgoing and if we do get together, the most we ever do is hold hands or kiss. However, the gays I can relate to tend to be much older (college age) which is quite scary for me because not only did one molest me, but the age range is just too big.

Ok, I think I'm ready to give this thread a shot.

Оnce a girl asked me: "Would you like it up your ass?", and I was quite naturally stunned by her directness. But it was a legitimate question and got me thinking.

After a while, I concluded that all orifices on a human body are either one-way (pores on our skin, penis, anus, ears, tear ducts etc) or two-way (vagina, nostrils, mouth etc). If I ever meet her again, I'll say that "Mother Nature made some holes on our body one-way and we ought to respect that".

This is my stance on all types of sexual expression - it's your body, do with it whatever you wish!

Mora, I don't know who you are and can only form my impression of you based on what you write.

For example, I will take some of your posts from this thread:

On February 28 2011 11:35 Mora wrote:

I suspected something was up when i was about 11 years old. I had been playing Truth or Dare with a few of my male friends in elementary school over several years. We'd dare each other to strip down and wag our dicks around shit like that. Just normal curious/young stuff. This continued up until grade 5 when a certain guy i was playing with wanted to do more shit than i'd done before. We got glad wrapper/sandwich bags and dared one another to suck the other guy off (with the baggy around his dick). I thought it was super great.

Then, when i hung out with him after the summer was over (we didn't hang out over the summer for some reason), he was going to stay the night and i got all excited to do it again. But he wasn't really interested. Infact, he'd brought over some of his father's porn magazines.

I thought the women were disgusting. I knew something was up.

So then i end up moving to another city where the culture is very different. (the place i grew up was super small town/hick). Soccer was the main sport at the school - everyone who played it was pretty popular. I was pretty good at that age, and so fit into this new crew pretty quickly (which was weird for me. As i was accustomed to being harshly teased, etc.)

These guys were pretty gay though too. After PE class/soccer practices they'd be getting undressed in the loccer room, and they'd be totally checking each other out. They'd point out all the new body hair that they were getting; they'd even feel each other up sometimes.

Pretty Sweet. I'm normal after all. All guys like to do this, i'm just a late-bloomer when it comes to wanting to fool around with chicks.

Fast forward to years and i move back to my hometown. At my new highschool you can't even make eye contact with another guy in the locker room. And all i wanted to do was stare at their junk. And i was still disgusted by vagina.

So yeah, i finally 'knew' by the age of 15. I was in denial for about 6 months after that, convincing myself that i could change who i was. I'm pretty intolerant of emotions like that though, so i accepted it when i was 16. My boyfriend moved in with me and my parents that year.

Women with large breasts. But you don't see my making a thread named ''i want to play sc2 with other people that like women with large breasts.''

Honestly I don't think what your sexual preferences really matters when your just playing sc2.

In truth I think you just want some drama.

Move your controversial debate to the proper thread. I don't get what is so complicated about this.

In bold, for our thicker tl.net members.

Move religious questions, additions, comments, morality, debates, to their respective threads. This is NOT the place for them.

PM me if you need more clarification.

The point of me responding the way I did was to highlight how off-topic his post was. Since saying 'keep these posts away' didn't work, I tried a different approach.

So yeah though there are a lot of (pardon my language) dickheads out there who bash you for being gay must you sink down to their level and also be provocative.

Honey, (yes, I'm pulling out my fabulous half) those words were a little tame, and on the internet i'm going to be less inclined to filter myself than offline. When your most intimate sexual act as a homosexual is sticking your junk into another dude's exit, you're going to become desensitized to this kind of stuff. And to be honest: it's a good thing. People should be open about their privates, their feelings, their orifices and the juices that come out of them. These subjects should not be taboo, it's unhealthy. Growing up that kind of discussion was so taboo that i would be awkward around my parents even watching people kiss on TV. Then i met my boyfriend, whose parents, at my first dinner with them, discussed how his dad used a dildo on his mom the night before.

I was appalled at the time, but now that i have many years of experience under my belt, i can safely say that people who are open and talk about sex have better sex, are more confident, and are less likely to cause complexes in their children.

As I mentioned earlier in this post I think it's great to know your story as well as the struggles of a homosexual. I appreciate what you've gotten from this thread, but i can only accomodate you so far. Go to a gay pride parade. Notice the dykes on bikes riding around shirtless; notice the naked gogo-boys dancing on their floats. Notice the free condoms that are handed out. And notice the families that are present for it. These things are important, are normal, are not weird or gross or nasty; they should not be taboo!

Cheers

Indeed, I had big problems trying to relate to anyone. I actually remember lying in bed unable to sleep on particularly lonely nights wishing that fags would be a little less gay and would be interested in things like strategy games instead of fashion.

It's one of the reasons i thought this kind of thread was important.

This has become less important to me as i've gotten older, as i've had a chance to discover more who i am, what interests me, what's worth working my ass off for, and meeting people along the way.

I now share other things in common with gays: soccer, sex, beer, more beer, sex, fashion (lol), celebrity gossip (i do more listening than talking, since i don't know anything about it. I find it amusing), politics, activism, volunteer work, writing, etc.

It's cool to see that being a nerd is also something that i have in common with other gays. I sure could have used that knowledge 10 years ago.

(Mora you are a straight-up superstar as far as I'm concerned. You start a cool thread and then moderate it justly and with the wisdom of a Solomon using only the power of words. Much thanks!)

I want to try another question.

A while back I used to spend time with some olderish gay men who were very suspicious of bi people. They didn't generally say it immediately but basically they seemed to feel like bis were gays or lesbians who were in the closet still; or, possibly, that bis were sort of confusing the politics or whatever.

How do the gay men on TL feel about bi men and women? Do you think there is a generational difference in attitudes towards identity in your countries?

I want to try another question.

This is just my perspective as a Bi man. I am attracted by cute women I enjoy looking at boobs, asses, and pussy. I also want to suck penis. I personally care a lot more about the person as in WHO they are as opposed to WHAT they are.

I'll have to second that. For me its not that much about the gender, each one has their attractiveness. On the other hand i cant imagine being in a serious relationship with a manly man. There are barely any that I find attractive. I'm usually into girlish boys or sometimes even crossdressers/traps (if they can puill it off ;P) as far as sexual attraction is concerned.

You guys have been here a while and should know better. Wtf?

Just Boo.

Well it sort of confuses me why straight people post in the gay thread anyways and bring up religion, it is probably an elaborate troll.
