A crying shame Force Staff and Shadow Blade are still relatively untouched.

Aghs on Puck is kind of OK? Aghs on Doom is required Aghs on Elder Titan seems OK Aghs on ES is required Aghs on Phoenix is probably core Aghs on Timbersaw is core after Soul Ring --> Bloodstone HoTD Clinkz is legit Aghs on Bane seems pretty good I would probably pick up a Crimson Guard on Razor, Viper, Bristle, Centaur, Undying, possibly Tidehunter (how would it work with Kraken Shell?), possibly Dark Seeer, possibly Clockwerk,

Auras are still better on the hero. Ags on puck is just slightly less useless than before. Again a 5th item at best. ET ags is good. AOE disarm is really strong. Kaolin ags is not a bad option. Not super, but if you have the money for it then it is fine. Doom 100% needs ags now. Otherwise enemy carries will just manfight you. @Yango That makes a lot of sense now, though I am still a bit skeptical. It doesn't feel like an item to go for every game but rather one dependant on the enemy team comp. Best way to find out is to play it though. Def will try with ET. I think mek is a lot worse on him with the mana cost increase anyways.

I don't see any downside in starting with a Circlet over two branches, so that Aquila happens sooner and they don't need to toss or sell the third branch.

Soul Ring also seems like a reasonable situational on support Witch Doctor, who launders the Soul Ring mana back to health at a profit via Voodoo and later can keep the Voodoo always on with a luxury Bloodstone. Needs testing, I guess. Oh, and we also need to consider adding Ring of Protection to starting items, as its armor increased by 50% compared to a 25 gold increase.

I don't think it changes much. It still doesn't outperform Stout Shield for melees, and ranged heroes that were getting Basi/Aquila would already start with it because you can't buy one from the Side Shop. The armor also doesn't carry over into Basi/Aquila (while they're also 25 gold more expensive), so it won't make people want those items more either.

The current guide has him sitting on 2 armor until he can afford a hat; meanwhile, he lives or dies in lane based on his ability to trade harass. And he even has the spare starting gold to pull off a casual ring.

It's in the current edit. I'm just going to finish the list and then publish the list here. The damage increase is less now from rank 1 to rank 2, and the lower initial cost means that rank 1 is WAY more mana efficient. I don't think it changes much.
