For Sven i would remove Aghs and HH since u are expecting Sven to be the hard carry, not the utility hero. I would also have Blink as a core rather than situational. Heart is debatable but i think Satanic makes more sense (obviously replace mom with it as a last item) If u really want to have something in ur situational items (because i just removed Blink HH and Aghs from there XD) u could have SnY and maybe AC there. | ||

u have a "20 armor to my whole team" button. Even when warcry is down, ur own armor situation with hotd+sny isn't that bad really. BKB's pretty core at some point. | ||

There's the "I can blink and blow up everyone and they can't do anything about it" way which is better if your team has ways to help you set up and if the enemy doesn't have a whole lot of stuff to lock you down (e.g. no BKB-piercing disables). For this Moon Shard is good and you tend to prioritize damage items higher in general (earlier Blink, later BKB, earlier Crit, etc.). Then there's the "I can't do shit by myself against their team but if I'm unkillable my team can win the game" way, which isn't as good but sometimes is necessary when the enemy team has heroes that kind of just fuck you if you try to play the other way (BKB-piercing disables, evasive heroes that buy Skadi, etc.), and you have other heroes on your team that can benefit from your frontlining ability (e.g. a backline mid carry like SF or Ember). AC's better here because pure offensive stat items won't do shit for you till you pass the point where you're unkillable anyway and defensive stats + team buffs is actually what you want here. Playing Sven in games where you have to play the latter way is awkward in general, but given the high prevalence of heroes that will just fuck you over (e.g. Bane and Wyvern being popular supports), your choice is often either play the 2nd way or don't pick Sven at all. | ||
