Sorry, I have an Asus G73 i7 with 1.60 GHz. 6 gigs of Ram with a ATI 5870 graphics card. When my game crashes, it completely turns off my computer.

Does this happen in other games?
We also need to know PSU.

g73 is a laptop so it's probably overheating.

Oh right. Derp. Im getting my tabs mixed up.
This is how my workload this week feels.

The selection of PSU's is terrible, and so are the prices! The lowest-priced unit that I'd buy from either of those 2 lists is the Corsair CX500 V2. The sub-1000 CoolerMaster units are all terrible. Even if they would "work" since your system isn't going to load them that high, they're more likely to die early, damage components, and at the very least they waste way more power because of low efficiency.... I don't know if that leaves any room in your budget for the graphics card. What's your resolution anyway? It's up to you if you want to spend more to upgrade that as well.
thanks a lot, i'll keep looking for a nice psu.

Asus, and since it is from Japan, it is writen in mostly Japanese. The input according to this is 100-240V, and the output of 19.5V. Hope that helps.

The PSU is irrelevant because it's a laptop. The issue could be overheating, download something like realtemp or openhwmonitor and check your temperatures when you try to load skyrim and when you play other games
edit: typo

Hi, I hope it's a simple question, i'll at least try to make it simple
After seeing a lot of streams, I was wondering one thing: how do people remove the "streamception" showed on their xsplit? I saw some streamers having it and some who don't (while the quality for both type is high), i personally have it and I wonder if I could remove it?
Thanks by advance, have a nice day!

Where I can I find a good guide on how to begin streaming and what programs to download in order to stream?

I'd love to keep this rig working for another 4 months or so and then I should be able to afford a pretty decent new rig. Anyways, the new cpu is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000 (2.6 ghz dual core), and I've also added a 512 MB HD 5450 gpu. Before installing my new cpu I had Cool'n'quiet off to eek out any extra performance I could. But with my new cpu the fan is on max at all times unless Cool'n'quiet is on. But with C'n'q on, CPU-z only shows me as having one core. Is this a problem due to the PSU (which is attached to the mobo) or can it be fixed? Thanks, you tech forum people are the best! So it turned out that the problem was due to my idiotic lack of thermal paste. I applied some new paste and the weird fan noises went away, and the clock rate is almost exactly the nominal value, but CPU-z still has me shows me as only having one core, though my cpu should have two. Did I fuck it up, or is there some way to regain that. Thanks a lot again!

You could have toasted a core. Not entirely sure how to verify it, aside from maybe trying to force defaults through BIOS now that you've fixed the heat issue?

My Steelseries Siberia V2 is failing on me for no(apparent) reason. It started out as the sounds fading away completely on the left ear when the cord was in certain positions. Then it stopped(at least I didn't notice anything) for a while, and then again tonight I only got sound off of the left pad when I held the cord in a certain direction. Soon after the left pad failed completely, and now I have this buzzing noise on the right pad which normally only occured when the volume was close to max, but now I hear it decently loud on just 50% volume.
Can this easily be fixed by opening the cord and fiddling with the wires? (I have a decently tech savvy dad who could do this.) Or can it be fixed in any other way? Is it not possible to fix?
P.S I've used this headset 5 hours a day for like a year, and except the cord getting caught under the foot of the chair and the headset getting jerked off my head when I was rising or shifting, no other damage worth mentioning have come to it.
Thanks in advance for help
Edit: Actually, the buzzing comes only when the mic is turned on, and disappears only when I turn it off in the audio settings. If I turn it off with the volume/mic mute thingy on the headset it gets less intense, but it's still there

Does anyone know if there are any ways to automatically reassemble "sliced" images?
The images are labeled with _x1_y1, x2_y1, etc for example.
Is there any program that can reassemble them or no? I don't want to do them manually if possible (would prefer an automatic and error proof way to get them reassembled).

Is 70C a stable CPU full load temp?

"Kinda"
Is this under like Prime 95 or something or is this actually happening while you are doing something intensive, and constructive?
