In the end I just went "screw it, im getting the blackwidow". I liked the mechanical feel and sound of the black widow but the offset F keys ruined for me. I cannot fathom why they did that. I use this and I love it. I've dropped it and spilled stuff on it and its still fine; great for the price. I would like a filco someday when I can afford one.

Which version did you get? the gamer or the standard one? I don't see how mechanical switches can be worse than membrane in terms of typing feel...probably just placebo....??

If you're already going to switch keyboards, I can only recommend buying a proper mechanical keyboard from a well-known and established manufacturer. You can even grab one of the Pink Filco's that Check uses, or a metallic blue one that Tyler uses. They're the best in my most humble opinion, and I'm in love with how crisp the key timing is.

I bought a Cherry Blue switch keyboard, but kind of annoyed with the sound after a few months, so i started looking at browns I could buy meanwhile using my old membrane keyboard, figured I liked it a lot better.
