Both works fine.. less alt-tabbing time with windowed FTW Oddly this is true for me too. Its only about 5fps but it is better in windowed mode than full screen. This is running everything on high-ultra as well. (yay new cards power) I played with it for a few hours and regardless of the setting it had better fps in windowed, albeit it was minor improvement and worked fine either way.

Quite handy when there are a few minute wait times... Its done that for a while, if not the beginning of beta

Haven't you noticed how the game is more often than not significantly lighter when they swap to player cam in the star/proleagues? You see better with things lightened up.

Win+D does not minimize anything (Win+M does, however), it simply puts the desktop window on top of the "visible" stack. This is the reason why other windows sometimes seem to "pop" back into view, especially if they are set as "always on top" But yeah, running in fullscreen window mode is great if you can play at your desktop resolution, and have a computer/OS that can handle composite desktop windows

In windowed (full screen), when alt-tabbed, the fact sc2 doesnt minimize is a good thing... Why? You can see through the transparent task bar if someone is talking to you or not!!!! Pic example: ![]() It flashes just like a normal msn convo or something down the bottom if someone leaves a new msg, really handy if your 2v2 partner has gone afk or something and you're waiting for him to get back, so alt tab out to check teamliquid or something ^^

When I'm in game my mouse in limited to one of my monitors and can screen scroll in all directions. Only when I alt-tab can I move my mouse over to the left and my other monitor. Maybe this is because I play on the right monitor? I dunno, because of my desk setup, my main monitor is always on the right, and I'll have secondary stuff on the left. I have no problem running full-screen windowed mode on my right monitor.

Monitor position does not matter, SC2 should lock your cursor into the main monitor/window when you're tabbed in, and should allow the cursor free movement across both monitors when you tab out, my monitors are the opposite position of yours, and it works perfectly.

I find it quite damaging to the game - for instance if you want to see what happens 2 inches down from where you have vision on screen...

Why are several people saying you can't do this then? It makes no sense.
