only real downside is if ur searching and u leave the game window, sc2 wont "pop" back up wen que pops so if ur in a really long que, u have to keep manually checkn if ur killing time on youtube or sumthing

It flashes just like a normal msn convo or something down the bottom if someone leaves a new msg, really handy if your 2v2 partner has gone afk or something and you're waiting for him to get back, so alt tab out to check teamliquid or something ^^

The way I minimize SC2 is by just clicking a website link in the b.net interface. Like the b.net forums. Minimizes the game and then you just close the tab in your browser, huzzah. I can't imagine playing without Windowed Fullscreen, it's just so convenient.

recently changed to windowed mode. It seems to lag pretty badly, I am not sure if windowed mode is the cause. but i really like the ability to alt+tab out quickly without black screen.

easy fix if your mouse is getting outside 1st monitor with sc2: click once somewhere in the 2nd monitor -> click inside 1st monitor again. mouse should be locked inside sc2 again, allowing sidescrolling etc.

I'd use windowed fullscreen mode if my comp could handle it. Seriously it's such a big convenience to just press the windows key and change music you're listening to all the while not taking your eyes off of your forces for even 1s.

During gay stalemates you can browse TL, check the news/weather, get on skype/ventrilo/TS/Xfire and chat with friends. It's really the only way to play if your comp can handle it.

Hm, i just checked and mine is in windowed mode aswell, this is what other games call a "non exclusive mode"

you can play bw just like any other game on a multiscreen setup, the cursor wont jump from screen to screen if you play it in fullscreen mode. usually a game will simply start fullscreen on the main monitor and the other monitors arent usable while playing.

thats why this fullscreen window mode is simply awesome! its a blessing for every multi screen user cause you can browser TL while wating for your matchup in WoW its even better, you can watch movies while farming etc. unfortunately hardly any game supports something like this.

I use fullscreen when I play in a tournament or something, where I want the most fps possible and the most stability. For any other time though, I use windowed (fullscreen), it's nice to have that instant alt-tab, and able to see your SC2 window still while you are doing other things. So like you can browse TL, adjust your song playlist, and etc, all while still watching out for messages on Bnet (SC2 in background) or whatever.

I also stream a little bit, once in a while, and the programs that I use only really like windowed (fullscreen). The stream video tends to flicker if I use regular fullscreen with it.

I use Windowmode ( Fullscreen ) or Pseudo Fullscreen mode on every game possible besides SC2. I noticed that because I have 2 monitors when I try to scroll the map instead of moving to the correct direction my mouse just hovers to the second monitor. I'm guessing this is because of the Windowmode/Fullscreen combination tho I'm not sure.

Yes you can, it locks the cursor to the screen except when it's bugged out after you've alt-tabbed a few times (which can then be fixed by alt tabbing and clicking back on the FS window to focus it). You really should've tried it before saying it doesn't support something.

so anyone got a fix for windowmode fullscreen sc2 poping up every time you open a program(for example skype when i open it sc2 pops up behind it even if it was minimized)

I had a buddy tell me that the big difference is the way that your operating system handles the information when you alt+tab. The difference being Fullscreen mode it keeps it in ram where as when in Windowed Fullscreen it moves it to (at least for windows) the swap file. Idk how true this is though.

Personally I use Windowed Fullscreen for both WoW & SC2 and haven't had a problem yet. Really nice for dual monitors .

I prefer to play on this as it actually lets me Dual-screen properly, and streaming with Xsplit becomes a lot easier.

Not really seen a downside to it yet apart from Skype/AIM notifications popping up but that can be easily changed anyway :D

i play windowed full screen buy i have a mac and some times the dock will stay on top of the SC2 screen and will not desapear is this a bug?
