Hey I haven't run Fraps but just wanted to contribute. I am using a 9800GTX+ I can run @ 1920x1200 with all ultra settings perfectly smoothly until there are any really big clashes. During these big clashes, it can get quite choppy. I would guess it drops to around 25 fps. Otherwise, it doesn't feel like it ever goes below 60fps.

Windows 7
4GB DDR3 i7 860 @ 2.8GHz GeForce GTS 250(1GB) 1920x1080 Resolution
Will run on ultra over 60fps, but when screen is cluttered drops into the low 50s, on very large fights(carriers with a million interceptors) its dropped to 35ish but never shows any chop.

Windows XP
2GB DDR2 (i think worst case is its DDR1 which i highly doubt) Dual core 3.21Ghz ATI Radeon 4670 DDR3 512mb 1280 x 1024 Resolution
Though Starcraft 2 runs on default settings to HIGH, game seems to stutter slightly? anyone know if my computer is running the game the way its supposed to?

There is one other person running that graphics card at 1280x1024 at high, so I think you should be able to run it at high. There might be a bottleneck somewhere though. The other guy is running an Athlon 64X2 2.2ghz and has 1 more GB of RAM than you.
What dual core is it? Judging by it's ghz, if you didn't overclock it looks like a Pentium D.

I think Blizzard said that the onboard graphics for the i3 could run SC2 so I think you're fine.

Yes, your right its a Pentium D i believe something along the intel lines. I tried starcraft on the replay and the settings have been default set to high, but when i play back sometimes it says the game has to play the game with low paged pool memory or something like that i believe. If anything i believe i might have to play on medium which is a downside to me T_T.
*EDIT* I've been playing with the replay Starcraft 2 and with fraps i get around an average 30-45 fps on high and like 55-60 fps and 60+ fps on low, but my computer should be able to play this game on decent settings right? Is it just the replays that mess up my computers framerate? *edit again* using FRAPS

man the i5-750 / 5770 rig running at 1280x1024 made me cringe =/

Anyone running any SLI setups? I have 2 260GTXs in SLI and was wondering how the performance would run on that. I'm sure it will run well, but I was looking for some actual numbers. Rest of my PC:
Win 7 Pro Core i7 920 3.6 ghz 12 GB DDR3 Ram 260 GTX SLI 1600x1050
|
Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16 Ghz 4 GB DDR2 RAM Radeon HD 4870 1GB Windows 7 Ultimate x64 ~ 2 TB Harddrive space total Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP (1920x1200)
Will run Ultra settings at 1920x1200 easily without any hickups at all. I find that I prefer playing on low settings so I better know what's going on without dealing with the other distractions. Performance between the two settings (Ultra and Low) is identical but scrolling around the map is a little smoother on low because the terrain textures do not have to render in as much detail.

System: DELL Latitude E6500 Intel Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9800 @ 2.94 Ghz Nvidia Quadro NVS 160m 4 Gb Ram 120 Gb SSD
Can I play Starcraft II?
Thanks.

Note: I don't have beta but I've watched a ton of replays and it never ever ever lags, I know it's not indicative of game-performance, but it looks gorgeous and it's so smooth.
CPU: amd x2 6400 black edition GPU: Nvidia 8800 GTX RAM: 4gb corsair xms ddr2 1066 Resolution: 1920x1080 or 1680x1050 Settings: ULTRA
Game runs flawlessly in replays, but will have to see if it runs the same during actual playing.

Wow looks likes the 5770 outperforms the 4870 by a mile. At 1680x1050 resolution, the 5770 outperforms by almost 20 fps, and people say the 4870 is a faster card o.o Even the 5750 beats it.

my notebook is not good enough for sc2, grml

since u want 9600 info here you go again.
specs:
+4gb ddr3 ram (3.25 cause i still use XP!! here) card not overlocked so its easier to compare
sc2 settings:
(you can see fps ingame when you press ctrl+alt+F)
fps double checked ingame and other tools.
my expirience (only from reps!):
Fps jump around between 30 and 60 fps. 60 really seems to be the max and i didnt went above once.
BUT no matter how many stuff is going on i never dropped below 29 which is still very acceptable considering i have evrything maxed and we are talking about a pretty old card. dunno how blizz does that but somehow the difference between a small skirmish and a huge battle with explosions and splatter evrywhere is very small fps wise.
also noteworthy is imho that there is quite a difference between the tilesets and races in "idle" (start of the game) mode. while i had constantly above 50 fps at desert protoss i had sub 40 on zerg and jungle.
overall the majority of the time it seems i have like ~38-42 fps which should be enough for evryone to play. if it isnt you can still do switch 1-2 options to "high" from ultra and your good to go with avg of 50+ fps.
9600gt is really a good card. if the game has a good engine it will run it. expirienced the same thing with AC1 , Batman AA and others ~

CPU: Phenom II X3 720 BE @ 3.2Ghz GPU: GTX 260 C216 SSC RAM: 4GB DDR2-800 5-5-5-15 Res: 1920x1080 Settings: Ultra
From replays alone, frames run from 40ish to 70ish depending on what's going on. Average seems to be around 50s. I've seen it drop to 30s with a very large number of units on screen at once (30+ Stalkers vs 15+ Stalkers in a main base)
|
I just read that ctrl+alt+f shows the framerate. This is easier than using a program, but I don't know if it gives the same results. It shows it in the upper left corner (very small) and it's a bit hard to see if you are watching a replay because of the observer dropdown menu there.
