That will probably change for the next season =D I second that, though I hadn’t see any of this one, so that is my own fault.

i ve just spent an hour and a half watching berni sanders ramble on about how injust and broken the american society is and one well placed, neatly intricate, case of sweet cross country racism gets me right back up :D if we can resolve this blacklist problem we just might beat climate change / killer robots / chinese world domination / lizard people and all the other crap

But indeed, somehow the influence of the forum-reading, meme-cracking side of the Chinese community seeped into the production of the SC2 finals, as INnoVation had his trophy moment punctuated by the melody of his very silly, unofficial Chinese theme song. If you didn't know, you didn't notice. But if you DID notice, it was probably pretty damn cool and hilarious. This was such a priceless moment. Of course I had no idea what happened at the time, but that great thread afterwards explaining what it was made it so much better. You can really tell from this video filmed from the crowd how much the Chinese sc2 fans appreciated the glorious victory of the great Lv Bu: https://www.bilibili.com/video/av46583876/ More Chinese starcraft PLEASE

The sheer number of LAN tournaments put on by the Community for their local Community. Bulgaria, Cuba, Costa Rica, Guatemala, India, Vietnam, Japan, Mongolia, Britain, Australia and some library in Ohio. That is just amazing to me. AI is not new no matter that people's attention focused on AlphaStar's very entertaining laddering. SC2AI, SSCAIT, ESChamp and SCHNAIL all advanced AI work and they made it accessible to average players to try their luck against. The entire country of Finland sent 42 home made bots after Serral, and lost, but Serral was smiling. A few days later a neighboring government (I forget which one) launched an AI initiative of their own. Player/Casters also seemed to become more of a thing that I was aware of. Brood War lost Flash but what a way to go. It continued to put out foreign scene content though and the Carbot mod made Brood War, and SC itself, something young people wanted to play. There are 2 or 3 Collegiate Leagues, the Corporate Esports Association, the Alpha X Junior Championship and even a high school League. We have tournaments for every rank from gold to GM. People are growing the Community one pizza at a time and I love it.

I distinctly remember an epic match when the second best player in the world Reynor manage to beat his only rival Serral at Blizzcon.
