I don't even understand why this is a discussion lol. Might me my fanboyism blinding me though. INnoVation should win. I agree 100%. I was merely pointing out that soO has won two of their last three meetings. You can take from that whatever you want. The Machine is fallible is what I take from it. Did he ever choke in a finals since he got reverse sweeped by Soulkey?

Nope. INnoVation has only ever lost two finals, the one against Soulkey and another (0-3) against TaeJa at Dreamhack Bucharest. That was in 2013 and he has won all five finals that he's played in the last four years (two of those against soO).
For all the crap he gets from losing to Soulkey, Inno is pretty clutch.

I touched on this in the preview. If soO is the worst player in SC2 history in finals, Inno is the best.

Also, props for putting in all the work into writing all the unused finals previews. It takes some real passion to write a ton of stuff that you know for certain will mostly be wasted. You're an inspiration for us all.

If only soO thought so highly of that victory.

it's so stupid that it has to happen this way He's already won a kespa cup, thus breaking the curse soO himself said that he considers the GSL a higher tier of tournament. And one he is (obviously) determined to win.

VSL is a major tournament, not a premier tournament. him winning it would not be breaking the curse, sorry to say =/
i thought soO broke the curse when he won kespa cup? "technically" broke the curse even tho he's still the biggest kong ever.

Or he switches back to bw and wins the next OSL there How well did soO even do in that OSL back then, hmm let's see. Oh ironically he lost against zerg players there. That OSL should have been Innovation's iirc, damn.

I tought that being able to win second tier tournament (like Kespa Cup or VSL) was part of the Kong Curse

congrats to innovation on the win

Can't say im interested in BW, but if soO switches to BW, ill follow him from day one.

If soo wins he doesn't break the curse, so if he loses it isn't part of the curse. How does my logic sound?

INnoVation is favored, but VSL is a special event and not a starleague so soO will win.
Such is the fate of the kong.
