Offline qualifiers for 2017 GSL Season 1 Code A will be held on December 27th
Code A Qualifiers Application Period:
- December 16th, 2016 ~ December 23rd, 2016 Friday 23:59 PM (KST)
Code A Qualifiers Offline Event:
- December 27th(Tue) 2016 (KST)
Location: Nice Game TV PC Room, Sindorim Station (Seoul)
Participation Requirements:
- Must be at least 12 years old
- Need to have a SC2 Battle.net account (cannot use your family's or friends' accounts)
- Masters/Grandmaster league players (Any Region)
Match Format:
1) There are more than or equal to 64 people.
Bo3, double elimination from the Ro4
2 players each group advance
2) There are less than 64 people.
Full league Bo1, 4 players from each group advance
Map Pool
- Echo
- Whirlwind
- Overgrowth
To apply for the qualifiers, fill out the form found here, non-Koreans please sign-up via email to gsl@afreecatv.com.
It asks for:
Name
(Cell) Phone number
Battle Tag
E-mail address
Ladder rank and score (e.g. Masters, 500 points)
StarCraft 2 character name (name displayed in-game)
Race (1 - Terran, 2 - Protoss, 3 - Zerg, 4 - Random)

Whoa. Hyped for the new season. With the lack of team support and the recent retirements, it'll be interesting how GSL 2017 plays out.

Unfortunately there's no mention that I can see about whether the seeds got reset and everyone will have to go through the qualifier or what.

You didn't translate the format part fully. There are two posibilities.
1) There are more than or equal to 64 people.

Maps:Echo(1st), Whirlwind(2nd), and overgrowth(3rd)
2 players each group advances
2) There are less than 64 people.
Full league Bo1, 4 players each group advances. (Since there will be 32 players advancing, 8 groups I guess)

Can Artosis film the players playing while Idra and Incontrol play? Bring it right back around to 2010, or whenever that was. And Cella will be there!

Finally some GSL news! I doubt we will see new blood but as others have said some old guys might make it

WHen there are less than 64 signups there will be n groups with x players each full round robin bo1 with top 4 players advancing. That's how it looks like, no?
