First season of the year is a clean slate, has been done like this before, I believe both GSL 2014 S1 and 2015 S1 were complete resets.

But I guess at least it makes sure that the players who get in GSL are in form (I realize this format brings with it the chance to miss out on top players because of an unlucky bracket with 2 top players in it but Code A has the same problem). GSL's site has the estimated dates of all GSL tournaments this year (except GSL vs The World) by the way. GSL S1 - January 4 to March 25 GSL Super Tournament 1 - April 6 to April 9 GSL S2 - April 19 to June 24 GSL S3 - July 5 to September 16 GSL Super Tournament 2 - September 29 to October 1 Source

Then again, what I'm really hoping for is a better code A format this year, so we don't get a repeat of something like Zest vs Maru.

This time all seeds are reset. Minus retirements I think we still end up with 64+. Granted the qualifiers will probably be seeded based on 2016 GSL results so most of them will look completely rigged to make sure all big names get through.

Nah in reality i want a lot of players attempting it and possibly even new players making it. That would be great On December 20 2016 03:43 Charoisaur wrote: probably something like INnoVation vs Zest in Code A... ![]() Poor Zest :/

That is almost mindblowing. Why don't more people just give it a shot?!

I would assume that nobody really thinks he can beat pros, add to that the general state of the korean scene and it doesn't seem to be worth it? Dunno. But yeah 80 is really low indeed :/
