I'm currently feeling that. I'm still just queuing HotS because I find it much more enjoyable than LotV

I enjoy myself, and as far as I am aware there is no alternative to SC2 (so another decent RTS).

Because even though HotS was boring, WoL was great, and LotV is faster (you don't have 2-3 useless mn each game) with new economy and possibilities (tankivacs) that requires you to think differently than before.
TvT seems volatile (random doom drops seem strong, it feels like you always need to have tankivacs ready) but other than that it's fun learning to play, your hands are not left unused like in LoL (where only your mouse hand gets to have some fun) or non competitive games.

Because of a sense of duty to my team and because I love all my SC2 friends.

Because I love the RTS genre. It must be because I am British - I love building armies and stealing foreign lands
At the moment though that means SC Total Annihilation as LoTV is too broken to be fun.

Because there is no good 1v1 competitive game as Starcraft atm...

I like to have a competitive outlet that allows me to improve at my own leisure without having to depend on other people - SC2 is the best candidate. While I've followed the scene on and off since the release of the game, I played very little during WoL and (especially) HotS as I simply did not find them fun, something was missing. I feel that with LotV, the game has truly hit its stride. It's not especially figured out yet, and as a result slightly unbalanced, but I believe that the core game has improved enough to compensate.

The game can be fun, but for terran its very stale and boring. The more i play LOTV the more i want to stop with sc2. HOTS allowed to do some fun builds, none of that is viable anymore. Unlike for the other races, but i cant be arsed to play those. Also blizzard's "feedback" isnt helping either. It was a fun game, enjoyed while it lasted. GG

Though the game is frustrating, the victories taste sweet.

I'm masochist, i love being annihilated with adepts, ravager rushed and other stuff. I do not enjoy LOTV as much as HOTS, last 20 games were so frustrating for me that i wanted to delete the game at some point, but maybe it's because I haven't figured out the game to myself, the time will show. But seriously it's a game that even if you hate it with all your soul you'll come back and play it again and again.

I don't. I did because it was my way of doing something where I had to compete against others. Now I found better, more satisfying, and more importantly fairer ways of spending my "competition quota".

Because I only have a 5 dollars mouse but bought a 100 dollars mechanical keyboard, and there are no other games out there that requires as much keyboard smashing as StarCraft. Everything requires mouse clicking nowadays with the occasional q w e r pressing.
Just kidding, I get a weird and unhealthy kick out of it when people on NA rage at me.

During whole 2015 I was hyped as f*ck for all sc2 tournaments, played couple of LANs with my friends, talked and thought a lot about the strategies but since the Blizzcon finals and transition to LotV I have trouble with finding #passion. I also hope that once the dust settles (especially after revolution in WCS system) I will get my passion back.

Ever played quake? Duel that is, controlling the weapons you can pick up, the different armors (red armor, yellow armor and the armor shards, health bubbles and the megahealth) + the time it takes for every item to respawn.. Sorry, but it's obvious you didn't really think this through. Sc2 is relatively easy, or at least it should be, for someone who puts in the effort. Sc2 compared to brood war, well.. Sc2 is like the noobie friendly brood war version, so if you care so much about the skill you need and you like rts games, challenge yourself and play brood war. See what I did there? Made a comment just as silly as yours. It's rather annoying to see people comparing 2 different genres of games and unconsciously making it obvious they lack the knowledge to say such a thing. I've played brood war, I've played q1/qw, q2, q3, q4, ql,.. One by one they were more challenging than brood war for me personally. Those fps games combine timing, control, you need the aim, you need the movement, the capability to adapt, more so than with starcraft.. If you based your opinion on the comparison between sc2 and let's say the latest call of duty game, of course, but i wouldn't use cod in my argument to put down the required skill level for fps games, it brings down the weight of your argument. The majority of starcraft is routine, the build order, the timings.. Nothing is routine with quake for example. If your opponent forces you away from red armor, you are forced to go about it a different way, you don't know which health items, armor items nor which weapons and ammo he's prevented you from taking, unless you see or hear him do it, you're in the dark. You also have to calculate how much health and armor your opponent has before engaging into a fight + which weapons he has, based on that you can approach him the right way and from the right angle.. My apologies for the aggressive approach, but the lack of knowledge on your part regarding fps games was quite infuriating. Quake 1v1 is freaking amazing man I play it sometimes but it's hard as #########

Once the cheese builds are figured out and you've gotten better at defending them, I bet you'll get your passion back.

I keep coming back to Starcraft 2 mostly because of nostalgia. Since SC1 came out I've been playing. The game connects me to my youth when I had more time to play.

I keep having phases of not playing it at all for a few months then getting back into it. I like to play a mix of 1s team games and arcade to keep me interested. BW was mostly just ums for me.
Been playing on and off for like 16 years so i guess it's working :D
