but really I ask myself this every time i log on, honestly I still don't have a good answer but I like that rush you get in game, that drive to get better, that rage when you lose and know you could've won. That nostalgic feeling i get when i watch tastosis at 6am that brings me back to the WOL days when i first got into sc2 trying to learn and getting my ass kick every game. learning something new every game. Also I love that even though there's a "meta" the games aren't the same thing over and over, its something different every time.
that beings said Im playing less and less, why not sure, maybe dont want to invest the time it takes to be as good as I know I can be i guess and hate being bad.
I played alot of competitive sc2 for 4 years. Now with the release of lotv, ive mostly moved on to cs, but sometimes come back to play a few ladder games just for fun.
ive played sc since the very first week it was out and i was at college when it did! recently, ive started to not play this game at all. from week to week! this is the first time in all of that time that ive never played a single game. Maybe there is a time where you just hang up ur hat, i never thought it would happen to me. I dont think its the game at all, its realising the countless hrs spent on a pure pass time and how good i could have been at something which may have helped more for my family and myself financially

1) It is fun 2) I prefer 1v1 format to team games 3) It is fast paced 4) Everything is within my control. If I lose it is because I myself errored. 5) You can always, ALWAYS get better
This is why I still play. I also stopped playing hots in 2013 when turtle everything became best way to play.

You mean not being addicted in games? Yeah that's a big problem in South Korea. But I think people would get better at handling this as we get more experienced as a society
stopped after the SH patch. Came back for the LotV beta. Don't like the game how it is at the moment, but I still can't leave my hands of it and keep on playing HotS and WoL occasionally. I just love the strategy and the discussions and it's not a teamgame so you can be really creative and strategic about it without having to plan hours in advance when everyone of your friends has time to play.
well I don't really play games so when my sister introduce the pro-scene to me I was like okay let's check it out and it looked super fun and I didn't actually intended to play and she was like you can try practising if you want and I'm like okay and it turned out to be super fun (and stressful) so I just keep playing for no particular reason other to improve. To enjoy a game you must be good at it it the reason I read somewhere
I still play Starcraft (BW) because it still teaches me tons of things playing it, it's the game with most complete set of skills I now, and I can still find new ways to play it and make them work. Getting better at it is still very rewarding!
