For example, some people may keep playing StarCraft because of their friends and how fun it is to play the game with them. Others may play the game because they like the challenge it presents, etc.
So what is your reason to keep playing?

I play SC2 for the same reasons, but after becoming more desensitized to the game after playing it so long, I think I partly play it because I'm simply good at it relative to other games. The initial luster is gone, but I've been playing for maybe ~8 years. RTS is still fun ![]()

1) It is fun 2) I prefer 1v1 format to team games 3) It is fast paced 4) Everything is within my control. If I lose it is because I myself errored. 5) You can always, ALWAYS get better

![]() I also enjoy the challenge sc2 provides and the fact that you can always improve. I want to start playing some Go now, because I like just love hard 1v1 strategy games with an seemingly endless skill ceiling. It will be nice to play something turn based where speed doesn't matter when I'm too lazy for sc2.

![]() Starcraft is my main multiplaying game. I love singleplayer games very much with good story, worlds and characters too, but for multiplayer I need Starcraft because it is very skill based and has a lot of support for an RTS game. I think it is huge tragedy that so many people play other games like LoL which I think in personal opinion is a very bad game. I wish more people would support Starcraft so it becomes more glorious ![]()

Or was your interest piqued because of Day9 being tied to it? Yeah purely because Day9 was part of it and I know a lot of sc2 players have been play testing it for a while (Lambo once ended his stream and said he has to go playtest Day9's game now). Then I checked out their developer updates, but lost all interest when I saw it's not 1v1. To keep this thread on topic, here is the thread http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/games/429683-artillerys-project-atlas, there is some info in there and I'm sure people there know more about it if you have questions ![]()

I get the email updates, but I can't stand playing team games (I hate people) so I never participate in the tests. There's probably people around (streamers especially) in case anyone is looking for updates.

And just when I thought that I was done playing for good a load of friends started playing competitively, lol. So I feel obligated to hop on every weekend and join them in some team games or obs, and naturally want to play a bit to maintain my mechanics.
