So this may be a spoiler so I'll take it as such, but there's a conversation with Rohana where she says+ Show Spoiler +

"They(terrans) speak with orifices" when questioned why terrans are lower beings

. You could assume from that that protoss used to have mouths as well. Whether they purposefully removed it themselves or evolution took over, who knows. That might explain why they have nipples.

As to boobs, they mostly wear armour so Either Selendis and co. have thinner boob armour, or adepts have thicker boob armour. Or the more interesting theory, the adepts are trying to seduce the terran units.

Possibly they used to have mouth long time ago but evolution made it useless cause they are communicationg via khala and "eating" with photosyntesis , the same should be with nipples :D they just not needed, although I haven't seen a single Protoss child :/

Maybe it is an advanced tactic. They gave all the Protoss warriors nipples so they could confuse their Terran enemies with a tactical nip-slip...

I don't think that's the most likely interpretation. "Orifices" seems to indicate they don't have a colloquial term for mouth. It's more likely Rohana is a racist jerk who disdains sentient beings that have mouths because lower animals normally have mouths too.

It took microseconds for me to get disturbed from Zeratul's nipples, not because of nipples but it seems like one of the heaviest retcons known to man.
Blizz didn't put any "boobs" to female protoss characters overall and in BW there were no nipples as well.

But also Blizz tends to "feminize" protoss woman in SC2 which is not really surprising. I bet you wouldn't distingush Raszagal from other males if there were no voice over.

I am glad that this is brought up here in TL.net

Not sure how that's called, it's not a lactation per se, she stated that it's probably Galactorrhea.
(we do not know how it's named in Czech so it's hard to find in English :D)

Its a sexual trait, nipples are sexy.
All the girls on shakuras are crazy over Zeratul and his sexy nipples. Its well known, in fact, its a trending topic on the khala #Zeratulnipples. Zeratul likes to spend time in the void to avoid the constant harassment from fangirls.
