Harassment in early game is good, all-ins every game are not. I am not happy with this change, Blizzard made a lot of progress balancing the game with the basic mechanics as they are, and changing something as huge as this sounds like we'll just be reset to the beginning of WoL. I mean that was the only time it might have actually been a worthy sequel to Broodwar, so I could dig it. My over all bitterness aside, if this really does reset and heavily shake up the meta, not just the unit comps, I'll gladly admit I was wrong and enjoy sc2 for the first time in years. I want to like the game, its just been something I haven't been able to like since Rockhead and David Kim thought that the infestor was a both balanced and exciting unit. I'll do the same thing I did for hots, watch a fair number of games at release and check in everyone in awhile, because I want to like the franchise, I just cant stand its current state.

It's a reset, which could be great but also throw everything apart into SC2 dying. Blizzard seems willing to go all-in on that one. A reset is not always a bad thing, but I really don't want to wait 2 years to play lategame.
As I said, this will be a great thing if balance is found quickly and the game is released in a playable state ; otherwise this will just dig the grave of RTS for a long time.

When Hots was announced I hated every change any every new unit. Totally the opposite now. The new units and changes look amazing.

I think there can only be improvement through the beta. I liked most of the changes done since the first reveal of the HotS alpha, many of which weren't even mentioned at the beginning. Things like booster Medivacs and buffed Mutas have had a major impact on the game, yet they didn't appear until beta. I'm excited to see what other changes will be done in the future besides the ones we were shown today.

It feels like this is Blizzards desperate attempt to make SC 2 casual friendly...

So Zerg also got Void Rays now?

Today is the day StarCraft ended as a real sport and became just a game, like every other videogame. The serperation between masters level players and pros will be cut in half.

You think Oracle traps are fun? You place a mine and hope that the enemy will run into it so they get delayed by a coulpe of seconds?
Seems like the most boring concept to me, and I am quite convinced that this will not stay at release. Terran honestly didn't need as much as the other races. They should however have given mech-harass (besides banshee) some more love vs zerg/toss in the mid/late game and the Raven should have been redesigned.
The new bio unit looks pretty cool while the new mech unit is pretty boring.
Zerg definitely got the most aweosme stuff. Of what I am most impressed with so far is the new Roach. I have actually spent a lot of time thinking of sound counterbased solutions to the forcefield, but Blizzard has managed to give the new Roach latergame utility, micropotenital and a counter to forcefields at the same time. This is the best solution I have seen yet.

The answers in the polls are far too oriented (they encourage positive answers) for them to be legit.

edit so ppl dont think im a debbie downer im super hyped for LOTV and cant wait i really like everything just not sure about the two units terrans get, there odd to me not bad i just like the other races units and changes, and im a terran elitist and this makes me really really want to play z and p lol. I feel the opposite, I'm terran and I think it looks really exciting and also very strong at this stage, of course lots of changes to go through until the release though...

wat? More units + more spells for the existing units + more spells altogether = casual friendly? I feel like it's going to be way more micro intensive in LotV tbh. Not really casual friendly :o

Just saw this
Automated tournaments run once per day at a specific time, open to all players
Finally! This will give me so much reason to play in small amounts, no matter how much I lose. It just seems so enticing to try and win one tournament rather than go from rank 25 to rank 5 in the sub-masters leagues. Plus I really hope there are icons attached.
12 workers seems like a bit much, the cheese timing will be kind of early compared to scout timing (especially PvZ, where you often want to 9 pylon scout).
On the other hand, I wonder if it's just my greed wanting to beat lower level players in team games talking. Some people still don't build early workers properly (queuing too much or gaps between building them). I'm trying to wrap my head around whether the change is not as big as it seems.

The micro potential in all the new units/changes is going to have the opposite effect, though.

"Fucking awesome" is much more tempting than "Hate it". It should be a 1-2-3-4-5 rating (1 total disproval, 5 total approval).

Maybe put the poll in the OP, the first post on page 34.
