yeah i dunno whats the fuss about this automated tournament shit, first of all it should've been added long time ago just like the kick feature in arcade games that still isn't present up to this day, nearing 2015 cant have kick feature 2modern, HILARIOUS ! and second, it will be PLAGUED by maphackers especially if it will have some kind of a reward maybe some avatar or smth, it will be trouble.

Did you miss the changes to economy?

We'll see if it works I guess. Yeah, admitting we're MOBA's whore. This is a micro/macro game, they're overdoing it.
Well skillshots and kiting is micro, it's just micro that MOBA players are more used to.

I think a lot hasn't been mentioned yet. It seems Marauders have a slightly different attack now (shoots from both hands at once), but no one has mentioned it yet.
Balance could always change later too.

Pffft. The changes they are attempting means they are trying to bring back the glory of BW.

Well because that would not make any sense because they can't properly tell what kind of buffs/nerfs are needed to account for the new changes. Thats probably what beta will be for.
It's not like their changes make sense in the first place. They could have announced zealots now can become landmines that deal air AOE damage and stalkers can morph into a Nexus after blinking 5 times between a mineral patch and that would have made more sense than most of the changes.

Apart from lurkers, doesn't seem that good to me. But we'll see.

I think what many people are overseeing is that the new units and modifications to the current ones are taking into account micro scenarios, Immortals being able to activate their shields, Thors repairing, Ravager throwing a 3 sec ball that kills forcefields... all of this allows for exciting scenarios, I know that stats need to be way fine tuned, but all the changes are focused on the right and fun aspects of the game.
Awesome to see tournament mode and cool approaches to playing Co-op. The new 12 worker (which at this point I don't know that it limits bases to 12 saturation or just start with 12) will hopefully just be the starting point and not saturation, but it'll speed up early game a lot, allowing for early aggression and more engagements throughout the game.
Gotta hand it to Blizzard, they have been listening and even though non of this is final, I think they are spot on with their ideas.

IMO they should make each campaign $20 (with occasional $10 or $15 sales) and only require one campaign to play ladder, and all ladder is LotV no matter what campaign you own.
This keeps SC2 affordable while "fining" hackers that get banned, which wouldn't happen in F2P.

What do you want me to respond to a post like that? If you feel that way man I won't stop you if you decide to leave or anything. I'm happy to see that Blizzard is trying to shake things up and I'll stay to see if it works out.

Ok, I have no idea if any of this stuff is gonna be balanced, but it looks fun as hell. For all 3 races.
I'm boarding the hype train :D #passionrestored

This nydus change is ridiculous, anti-fun and anti-skill. Yeah, don't worry. This "feature" probably won't even make it to closed beta.
I agree, seems like one of these "we have no idea how to make this Nydus thing work, so we just give it a dumb new gimmick".
The same concept honestly applies to the Oracle. Oh Starbow is experimenting with the trap-mechanic, and some people apparently like that. Let's try to do that as well, and then it ends up freezing them. Sorry, but this interaction also seems so boring.
What they should have done with Oracle is to balance it around a stronger moving shot or attack/move back micro. One simple fun good player vs player interaction is a ton better than having units with "gimmicky"/microless abiltieis.
Siege Tank pick up.... Wasn't totally unexpected because David Kim likes harass play. He may have heard Starbow has it, and thus opted to experiment with it himself. It was also something I suggested they should have done in HOTS beta to add countermicro for mech vs blinding cloud. I guess better late than never.
@ Banshee upgrade. That one was basic design theoy 101. You obviously canot have overseers being faster than cloacked banshees as it means banshees gets hardcountered after the midgame. This upgrade was also something I have suggested a couple of times previously as it creates a more interesting interaction if Banshees are slower than Mutas but through Cloak can avoid taking damage from them.
For LOTV, there is almost also 0 probability that they aren't looking into overlord drop play, but possibly it's just a straightup buff instead of a design change.

More micro, more anti-turtle, very good changes and features.... congratz Blizzard...
|
Great changes (for a start).
Colossus is still in the game =\
|
Ha ha ha it's not like I could leave that game, I'm addicted to it. But we all know here at least half of the changes were just for the vid and won't even be tested in the beta.
|
Wow, this is going to be really interesting to see how this plays out.
I wonder what will be kept and what won't... some of these things seem crazy op.
|
Okay what... Battlecruisers can warp anywhere without needing vision? Surely it must be at least nerfed to anywhere with vision?
Lurkers are back!!!! :D :D :D
3 corruptors can kill a nexus in like 8 seconds o.O
Nydus worms are absolutely invincible when they're being created -.-'
Locusts can... fly now...
