Everything hints at warpgate units being stronger in LotV, warpgate mechanic changes and forcefields weakened vs zerg, as well as photon overcharge only hitting ground units -> means that protoss needs to be strengthened in a big way in the early game

I just watched. So many seemingly good creative changes! So many fixes for old outstanding issues! It's great! I'm so hyped now! I don't care what the price is going to be. This is going to be great for Starcraft!

I don't mind big changes, but I still think more has to be done to make the Protoss race more interesting.

Do you guys think Colossi and Immortals are fun units to watch? I think those units need drastic changes.

The eco changes are so extreme that I feel a lot of the core early units (Zergling, Roach, Zealot, Stalker, Sentry, Marine, Marauder) are going to be tweaked a lot, but they are still working on that kind of stuff.

Well because that would not make any sense because they can't properly tell what kind of buffs/nerfs are needed to account for the new changes. Thats probably what beta will be for.

Just tossing in more new units (or old ones, like the lurker) won't really do the trick in keeping the game interesting. At least for me.
The glorious first years of SC2 will never come back and shall remain in remembrance.
I'll have you know, that in the field of physics, we work with particles so small, they make fat jokes about the locus coeruleus!

I love that they're eliminating the boring start of games, and fewer scvs required to saturate also seems like a good idea.

As for the units and changes, I like all of them except the two new terran units. I don't think a melee unit fits Terran at all, and stylistically both the Herc and the Cyclone look silly, especially the Herc.


Minor complaints aside, this is new, bold, and totally what SC2 needs. The only thing that's missing is free multiplayer.

I was actually hoping they get rid of Swarmhosts. I was never interested in the unit, it felt poorly designed. I don't know if its the right move to change and mb even make it better. Wouldve loved to see them removed and see the focus on Lurkers... but well maybe i can work around Swarmhosts :/
