Some Masters levels players don't know as much as one would think about the game, conversely some people who are scrubs by ladder standards kind of do.
With Meta the combination of massive surface area at the natural location and two narrow lanes being the only non-air ways around the map are not filling me with much hope when it comes specifically to the PvZ matchup.

The most ridiculous thing I remember is $o$ won a bunch of games on it iirc

The ramp was 4-wide instead of 3-wide. That was basically it. They patched it asap, when they saw that it really doesn't work. I don't think blizzard should get so much hate for it, I'd rather have them do those experiements on a regular basis to stretch the game balance. Though, maybe not in WCS but maybe in between seasons. Oh, that's what they are doing right now!

ahaha thats great, so funny cause i just saw the thread about polt and the 6 figures a year and someone posted a vod of the super tournament with polt and mma and saw the Metalopolis game and started remembering all the games on it and omg this is going to be bad. this season will be odd/funny/bad/weird, pick one.

Yeah Daedalus is the worst map they have had in the pool in hots and everyone saw it wasn't possible to play real games on it so blizz had to change it. Now we get maps like Metalopolis and possibly Xel'naga etc which are just as horrible as Daedalus and it'll be the same thing on them with protosses not being able to play at all.

At least on the old maps you can wall from ramp to nexus, on Daedalus that was impossible.

At the moment we have Metalopolis and Cloud Kingdom. The general concensus is that CK will be totally fine for protoss. Metalopolis might be a less protoss favored map but we can't have a 100% protoss favored map pool.

Walling from ramp to nexus is reaaaally iffy these days though. You just need -something- to fully block lings, or shit like this happens and you can't do anything to stop it: http://www.twitch.tv/dreamhacktv/b/333215553?t=32m43s
In fact, the need to fully wall is why people started doing that instead of going ramp-nexus on Antiga for example.
edit: CK will be more than fine for protoss. It's as good as Yeonsu was for blink all-ins. It's fine to have maps that slightly favour one race over the other, it's not fine to have maps that make one (or more) matchup or race completely and utterly miserable.
