Dude, in late 2013 other players were doing this for him, including me, because he wasn't doing shit. He just linked it to other people to make sure they'd sign up. We were constantly begging him to spend more time into searching for these tournaments as we were doing it instead of him while he was doing absolutely nothing. Huh really? Well, thanks ^^

Below is a 24days old comment from Reddit. Show nested quote + Hey guys RuFF here, I am currently not on Alloy E-sports and left about 4 or 5 days ago. KiloKilo is a really nice guy and has sponsored me back in 2013 for Anaheim Pass when on OGaming. I personally felt a bit deceived while on the team, and everything at Red Bull Atlanta did not hold high expectations. Except for the event itself obviously, better than MLG! (Keeping this nice) I feel bad because of a dear friend of mine who went through a lot on the team, and didn't get what he deserved. Which was motivation for me to leave because I hold high morals in that kind of area. He will probably make a post in due time if things continue to go poorly. The only money I got on the team was the reimbursement for Redbull Atlanta. Didn't get a Salary even though I was on the team for over 2 months. Maybe I was a good pick up because I could be tossed around due to the reputable hit I took back in June; that is just speculation though. Aldaris a couple of days later: Show nested quote + ZG left due to neck pain and lack of free time preventing her from playing which made her feel she was not contributing to the team. RuFF left to pursue other opportunities. If ZG has neck pain, how can she still cast then but not play? Since I can't help my self, but continue to understand whether he is just insanely dumb or a terrible person or both? I found a response he made to Destiny. First of Destiny explains what it means to be a cheeser. Show nested quote + Ruff bypasses the need for any competence at the game by doing insanely all-innish/gimmicky early pressure builds. If his early builds do damage, he wins, if they don't, he loses, miserably, because he has no ability to play a mid/late game on even ground with his opponent. Aldaris then responds: Show nested quote + Interesting insight. I am his team owner and this is the first rational explanation I have received when asking similar questions other than he is bad or he sucks. That is the typical response. Thank you Steven Aldaris apparently doens't even get the implications for playing cheesy.. The reason everyone says he is terrible is because he is cheesy and everyone above silver league knows what that implies.... except for Aldaris. If I was involved in his team and reading some of his reddit comments, I would definitely question whether I was at the right place. Relying on a manager that seems this dumb cannot be a good thing That comment I wrote on reddit in this quote was directed about Cube getting screwed over which is why I left, I also did not like being deceived. To many lies from Aldaris, I could see through all of it the first day we met in Atlanta. I felt bad for cube constantly buying people stuff. I told Aldaris just to cover food since I was going to the event pretty much without sponsorship, the second I saw cube paying for things I told him not to worry about it and started buying my own things. It was sickening sitting there at gas stations when we both refused and he was constantly trying to get out of paying. I even threatened to go to a hotel and have my GF pick me up since I don't live far from Atlanta. Shit just got pretty bad. I spoke to a few pro players about it, I won't bring up names but they know the situation too and people could see I was pretty upset while I was there. Cube is an awesome fun guy to be around. He definitely needs the support after what happened to him. He never spent a penny on anything, even asked to mooch food that we bought. It was pretty pathetic. I don't know anyone who can't spare a fucking dollar to get himself something.

No idea who the OP is, but apparently he's apologizing for being unprofessional, a poor manager, not paying his players, and lying to them. Thanks for the apology, but this is also a first impression of you lol. EDIT: Apparently some SC2 players were screwed (at least temporarily) by this guy. I wish the best of luck to those players, and hope they get what was promised to them!

I sympathize for the players who were taken advantage of, but seriously just be smart about it and this will stop happening.

First of Destiny explains what it means to be a cheeser. I can't help but address this specifically, and I might as well add to the entire discussion too, but uh, I do legit have neck pain. I've gone to numerous doctors over the course of two years and it's been this whole ordeal. In the group Skype chat we had a conversation about physical problems once, but I didn't mention to Aldaris that neck pain was a reason I left. He just guessed that was the 'real reason' I guess? I told him I wasn't practicing a lot (due to casting so much, I can usually only do one or the other per day, play or cast) and didn't feel I contributed anything. The real, main reason I left was actually not getting what little I asked for, which was practice with teammates. This whole 'ZG picked up by Alloy' thing was so not what I expected when Sam asked me casually 'you wanna be on a team'. I just expected practice sessions and practice partners. Instead of that, I got a dramatic thread with Ruff, a 'statement' that I never made, and a bunch of people saying how bad the move was. I just wanted to practice, not to officially align myself with a small team. Since I expected so little from the team I really have nothing to add, only that from what little I experienced I had, it was obvious Aldaris had little in the way of marketing skills.

Somehow I believe Richard Lewis' reporting much more than Aldaris' chronic lies. On the other hand, recruiting ex-Alloy players seems incredibly stupid too (which actually makes me more inclined to believe this is Aldaris trying to warp reality again).
