This also means, that the foreigner crown is waiting for someone to take it for te first time since the pre-Jinro era. Scarlett looked like an undisputed nr.2 for the majority of 2013, but with her recent struggels in WCS NA/ Enders game tournament/ Shoutcraft and also the events of SeatStoryCup, it looks like the euro zergs might have surpassed her. I guess, we'll find out in the next few months.

Just a thoroughly horrible person that only has fans because he's very good at a game. GL in the real world. For me, being good at a game doesn't make being a total douche suddenly irrelevent. I was fortunate enough to meet him a few times and I found him to be a pretty chill guy. Certainly not the most sportsmanlike when it comes to taking a loss, but that's centrally because his goal was always to win (rather than entertain his audience) and if he didn't accomplish that goal, then he saw no reason to even bother faking a smile about it. I liked him for his work ethic and pride as a competitor, not for his behavior. Naniwa was easily one of the hardest working, most focused, and most motivated foreigners (see: Naniwa's time in Korea, Code S) we've ever seen in SC2. He wanted to be the best, and he was certainly the best foreigner for a period of time. And you write him off as just some douchey cheater? What the hell.

I doubt this is about balance. Naniwa hates Swarmhosts for the same reason he hates PvP. The games aren't fun, and if you're not having fun as a progamer you should enter the marketplace and get a proper job, which can dull the tedium of work with a good salary and real prospects. The only people who stay in progaming after they stop enjoying it are people like IdrA, who abandoned school to go pro and got locked in.

It seems that doing nothing is equally bad.

I guess they shouldn't come out with another expansion since big changes can alter one's career. It's pretty sad when you make such a horrible unit that if LotV was simply HotS minus the swarm host, then it would be a "must buy" or at least way better of a game.

Really? It's quite good advice actually. Even if it's just a break from the game, it can certainly help. This is why people take week long vacations in 9-5 office life. You absolutely need time for yourself sometimes.

Not trying to trashtalk Idra here (I was sad about him leaving the scene as well), but sticking with playing the game fulltime for so long even though he stated repeatedly that he didn't enjoy is something I wouldn't wish on anyone else.

I think the fact that they happen late in games is also part of the problem. I mean, losing to a random Protoss all-in as Terran is frustrating as hell, but it only takes 10 minutes per game. Losing to Swarm Hosts isn't just frustating, it's also agonizingly slow. Having to play a really boring game that lasts for 45-90 minutes before it ends in a loss and you can move on to the next one can't work wonders for your practice routine.

OF course, he will be back. This is just him trying to get his way, or attention, or both. He forgot to say what he wanted, though.
