Unless I've made a huge mistake somewhere along the way, I'm not sure what you're trying to say. If I'm reading this correctly, winning the regular round gives 81 points, while placing 8th gives 30 points. There are four rounds, so a team can obtain a maximum of 324 points from regular rounds and an additional 160 by placing first in everything. With that in mind, I don't really see how winning the round playoffs (+40 points for a maximum of 121 points after R1) would guarantee a team a spot in the season playoffs.

oh... I thought 40 points to their 11 from Round 1.
But these are different points O.O What kind of system is that? ^^

No, those are not the points I'm talking about. Each team is awarded a number of points based on their rank after a round. KT received 81 points for winning the round while Prime received 30 for placing last. These are entirely separate and unrelated to the win/loss differential

Believing that one hot streak in one qualifier will necessarily translate into a series of wins in a format like Proleague's is foolish. There are a bunch of players far too close in skill for that to happen on a regular basis - Rogue is extremely good, no doubt, but he didn't (at least I don't think so) magically become better since the regular round ended, but many players have produced similar results in one qualifier or another before falling handlessly to someone they dismantled online once they play offline.
What I'm saying is, it'll take more than one qualifier to convince me that Rogue is all-kill material against a team of SKT's calibre.

It's part of it, though most of the players I predicted to be important parts in CJ's Proleague campaign all had some offline results to speak of and multiple sick qualifier runs. All-kill is a different beast, though.

Hell, if you would made a team of 10 best players in the world besides those on SKT (chosen by whatever criteria you wish), I still probably wouldn't favour them over SKT. That team is too stacked and that has to show in all-kill format. Although, obviously that format is volatile and they CAN lose, they are always coming into any match as favourites.

That's also why I think Soulkey will be sent out if Soo loses. You want to save Parting and Rain for Maru. But Maru is 5-1 vs Protoss and lost twice to Soulkey in their last matchup. I think you want to save Soulkey for Maru. Also all of you fools who think Rogue is going to lose to soO are wrong.
Darkhoarse is making the most sense. I get people are up in arms about TvP balance, but the fact is, Maru is wrecking protoss lately and is suffering versus Zerg. I too think soulkey is waiting for Maru, but I also think that is too obvious, and Maru might have something prepared. God I am excited for this!!
