Dropships can always become cheaper, so it would be easier to get a few extra ones with your bio army.

bit later than planned as I was a bit busy, but map is now updated and uploaded as starbow 2v2 fallen empire, also fixed 2v2 spawns, enjoy.

Think terran could benefit from having something like the Defensive matrix field from wings of liberty development:

Defensive Matrix Field creates a damage suppression field at target location which reduces all incoming damage by 50%

The reasoning is to make bio more sturdy. If deemed too strong it could have a physical object that creates it (like a pdd) and a damage threshold it can reduce before its destroyed. Could work on probably the ghost, but otherwise the science vessel.

The nerve jammer is more of an offensive tool as its cast on the opponet and not on your own army while the spell I talk about would be similar but be a bit more of area control, also if I remember it correctly nerve jammer doesnt work on abilities, which is what causes most of the aoe damage that makes bio just melt.

Would like to see this tested. Atleast have it as an backup incase lockdown doesnt work well.
Instead of incoming damage i would like to see it be incoming spell damage purely.

Must be worth tho to test it even so to see how it feels.
What is fun with bioplay in general is when u can do alot of fights with multitasking and micro involved.

As soon as the reaver or alot of hts come into play it becomes a waiting game for your hardcounter to pop in

The old school version of BGH is now uploaded again as well as "Vulcanic Ridge", a remake of the SC2 4v4 map for Starbow.

We've seen more multiplayer based games lately and everyone wanted the old BGH back

Why not give it to Dropship in order to encourage more dropship vs protoss in the same proces? This means that terran bio play doesn't just become timing-based, but gets a stronger element of multitasking as well.

How I invision it is to have the unit with the spell drop an object like a point defense drone. That object will then absorb say 50% of the damage in the area until it runs out of hitpoints and is destroyed.

Might not be the best solution, but I like the area control element of it.

I don't think so. SV's definitely come too late, however dropships have a lower build time and no Fusion Core requirement. Getting out Starport tech also means Ghosts aren't neccesary as you can pick up the targetted bio units when Reaver shoots at. Vikings/banshee's can also deal with Reavers.

Further, I think medic's could also get that addition to optic Flare where the casting range of enemy spellcasters are reduced. That's like a softer counter vs a lower number of HT's, and I think such an addition to Medic's w/ stim created a pretty cool decent interaction against HT's as well.

So its gonna be like a guardian shield from the dropship?


I think there are multiple ways to make this work. But I don't really wanna go into the more specific ways this spell could work.
But I feel the primary intention of this ability isn't to create a cool interaction between the spell and the protoss army in it self, but rather to make bio viable in a more "fun" way vs protoss.

Ahh, awesome news! I hadn't heard anything about further Starbow games from Artosis or Tasteless in a few weeks, I started thinking they'd lost interest in the mod. This is encouraging!
