There have also been patches (Queen patch), that completely broke the game and left it shattered for the remainder of that particular time frame.
This patch will solve very little, because the problems with mech and sky transitions where never about upgrades.

I really do wish people would try to understand this game better, so I wouldn't have to point out how wrong their assumptions are each and every time they post.

For information, next patch will be focused on nerfing or changing at least the SH as DK said in the SC2 conferences about blizzcon.

I really look forward to see how hellbat marauder viking will do vs protoss now with the upgrades.

It feels that this patch will maybe open mech play in all MU. I still wonder though how terrans can deal with protoss with mech but maybe WCS 2014 season 1 will give us the answer.

People saying that terran forgot about air and mech upgrade combine. For me it is way not how thinks should be.
Terran should have one upgrade apply to ALL units, because terran have 9 types of production buildings.
Zergs on other hand should have separate upgrade for every unit because they have 1 production building.
Toss should be something in between.

What makes terran not fun is extrime cost of switching, when it cost nothign for zerg and little for toss.

Both Oracle and Widow Mine are stupid units that never should've been added to game. No amount of tweaking is going to make them balanced. They'll either be overpowered or underpowered.

banshees in mid game vs P? are you serious?
Vikings may help, but 2 or 3 imbaclouds can finish the game for T. its not worth the risk.

I am a low apm toss, so that would be like, 4(?) control groups for army to manage then, with sentrys, the army itself, oracles, and possibly ht's or maybe a keybind for msc. I guess it would make me fast tho xD

But seriously they really need to look at oracle again. If this change won't be taken away, I want to see decrease in accelartion (just to make micro harder) or dmg.

btw, does it mean that they increased the burrow speed itself rather than roach speed upgrade buffing burrow speed? That's interesting. I still want tunneling claw to be lower cost though...

Nevertheless, overall balance changes are good

For people trying to understand mech vs P,Banshee is a very useful tool during the whole game,you only need to watch their games (avilo,HTOmario..)

I still don't like the oracle change, they are so incredible strong at low levels and now they got even stronger. If keeping them alive in the mid-lategame is a problem, why not add a cheap upgrade that cannot be abused for early game all-ins?

Well, you don't always have to have the MSC hotkeyed. Templar and your main army are the most important tools. Depending on your strategy and unit composition you may want stalkers/air units on an extra one and a warp prism/oracle added. Why not, definitely doable.

If the map doesnt look like Akilon Wastes with 3 expos tied together, you gonna have a bad time with mech when Mr. Warprism comes to remind you, that attacking the P was a bad idea.
I am really afraid of what happens when LotV is out for like half a year. Because then really nobody is gonna give a damn about the game problems anymore. These patches are stalling for time, nothing else.

I'm not sure about widow mine, but oracle has hope. it is a spell caster. you can have 'any' spells.
Oracle had enormous changes in beta remember?
I wish they will change again in Lotv

Is this a joke or do they really believe a 7% DPS buff for siege tanks will make them viable and compensate a 30-50% widow mine nerf ?

I agree that the oracle should have its damage nerfed in compensation for the speed buff, it will make it less insane at killing workers but better at doing other jobs such as detection on the go and that awesome tracking spell.

Not gonna participate in that tank debate, though I would love to see it become badass again instead of a pussy unit that fires off 1 shot and dies.
