EG.Jaedong - Page 104

Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding.

He should've stayed with any Korean progaming team for his own sake IMO. Going EG means you go for the money instead of the skill. Understandable from a personal p.o.v as ex Pro for me, yet it's really, really saddening to see a legend like Jaedong make this kind of decision.

You're not the only one, but the trend has become so common in SC2 that it's really tiring and pointless to even bring it up any more. Especially in an ocean of super hyped people posting in the thread.

Now it's possible for Jaedong to play with Stephano! :D :ppp On December 07 2012 23:19 iNfeRnaL wrote: Am I the only one who doesn't like it? I don't see anyone on a foreign team being a top pro in longterm... Hero seems to be the only one that comes to my mind... Taeja joined recently so he can't be taken into account yet.

Before (1 year ago) it might be money, but now, it's clear that they're serious in SC2 and going all out. Team house in Korea and America. Top roster in the world. All they need now is a practice environment and with the coaches and team house in korea, they will try and copy the kespa team house practice regimes. They have the players to do it. They have the money to do it. They just need the right coach that will enforce a good practice routine within the team house. That we can't judge yet because they just started. Trust me, the EG-TL roster is serious about winning. I don't know why people are doubting their intentions and that they only signed on for money. Look at the current situation of esports. Any team can fold at anytime. EG offering their players good salary is GOOD! And at the same time giving them the resources they need to improve as a player!

This is a fair point, but since he will be playing proleague it all depends with whom and where he will be training, if you have any information about that, i would be glad to hear it, ![]() ![]() was your fan in sc1 btw ![]()

When JD was on top of his BW game this would be thought as utterly insane and improbable to happen. Cool for TL ![]()

Sorry but EG does not have a top world roster. Top foreign roster, absolutely.... but pales in comparison to the talent that the top Korean teams have. Honestly, we all know JD only moved because Team 8 can't afford to send him to anything. For JD, it's a step forward, but if he really wants to become the Tyrant again, the only way I see that happening is for him to join a top Korean team.

I truly wish it were as simple as you've implied.

He wants to experience something outside of the small world that he's known for the last 7 years. Traveling to different countries, meeting foreign fans. And Team 8 is not your typical top Korean team. They don't have a lot of money, great practice environment, a big roster, or amazing coaches, or even job security. He's not sacrificing skill at all by leaving it. He'd probably learn more by being Stephano's teammate for a few months than what he would on Team 8 for far longer, with only a couple of rookies like Ryul2 to practice with. Until Team 8 gets a sponsor, I don't think you could possibly argue that staying there is better for Jaedong than moving to EG or any other established team. tbh I don't like the idea either, but I would never discount it as "he's just doing it for the money." Jaedong has plenty of money. But he wants more than that.

The game is still at its early stage, two more expansions coming in the next 2 years. The game will stabilize and bonjwas arise in at least 3 years.
