Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding.

Before (1 year ago) it might be money, but now, it's clear that they're serious in SC2 and going all out. Team house in Korea and America. Top roster in the world. All they need now is a practice environment and with the coaches and team house in korea, they will try and copy the kespa team house practice regimes. They have the players to do it. They have the money to do it. They just need the right coach that will enforce a good practice routine within the team house. That we can't judge yet because they just started. Trust me, the EG-TL roster is serious about winning. I don't know why people are doubting their intentions and that they only signed on for money. Look at the current situation of esports. Any team can fold at anytime. EG offering their players good salary is GOOD! And at the same time giving them the resources they need to improve as a player! yea they're really serious about winning, that's why some of their top players aren't going to be playing in PL half the time right, along with no dedicated B-Team to grind practice games off of. BTW that last factor was the one that pretty much sunk T8, the team that was supposed to dominate PL when it was first formed ... and T8 was hella dedicated w/ their practicing. oh yea, and no experienced coaching staff lol. That's also gonna be painful. And the constant release of reps and streaming? easy target for KeSPA coaching staffs to dissect for a perfect counter strategy. I don't see EG-TL making it anywhere even close to playoffs.

Going EG means you go for the money instead of the skill. Understandable from a personal p.o.v as ex Pro for me, yet it's really, really saddening to see a legend like Jaedong make this kind of decision. I mean Stephano isn't like one of the best Zergs in the world...So i guess i see what you mean?
