EG.Jaedong - Page 105

Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding.

Understandable from a personal p.o.v as ex Pro for me, yet it's really, really saddening to see a legend like Jaedong make this kind of decision.

People need to stop freaking about this. The game is still at its early stage, two more expansions coming in the next 2 years. The game will stabilize and bonjwas arise in at least 3 years.

People have been saying this since it came out.

At what point do you stop saying 'the game is young'?

Well, just as an example, Brood War was released at the end of November in 1998. The Bisu Build was popularized eight years later.

Well, Stephano practicing ZvZ vs Jaedong makes me feel bad for all the Zergs the two will meet in tournaments...

You're not the only one, but the trend has become so common in SC2 that it's really tiring and pointless to even bring it up any more. Especially in an ocean of super hyped people posting in the thread.

How does going EG means he's going for money instead of skill? Going EG is BOTH and that's why going EG is VERY attractive option. Before (1 year ago) it might be money, but now, it's clear that they're serious in SC2 and going all out. Team house in Korea and America. Top roster in the world. All they need now is a practice environment and with the coaches and team house in korea, they will try and copy the kespa team house practice regimes. They have the players to do it. They have the money to do it. They just need the right coach that will enforce a good practice routine within the team house. That we can't judge yet because they just started.

Trust me, the EG-TL roster is serious about winning. I don't know why people are doubting their intentions and that they only signed on for money. Look at the current situation of esports. Any team can fold at anytime. EG offering their players good salary is GOOD! And at the same time giving them the resources they need to improve as a player!

yea they're really serious about winning, that's why some of their top players aren't going to be playing in PL half the time right, along with no dedicated B-Team to grind practice games off of. BTW that last factor was the one that pretty much sunk T8, the team that was supposed to dominate PL when it was first formed ... and T8 was hella dedicated w/ their practicing.

oh yea, and no experienced coaching staff lol. That's also gonna be painful. And the constant release of reps and streaming? easy target for KeSPA coaching staffs to dissect for a perfect counter strategy. I don't see EG-TL making it anywhere even close to playoffs.

Well, in at least one interview he said that he would love to play for a foreign team at some point. So there´s hope.

Jaedong now has a big responsibility on his shoulders to do at least as well as Flash has done in SC2. That rivalry is definitely something that benefits EG directly. And since Stephano is threre to show him how it's done the next few months should be interesting.

I guess for Jaedong the situation is pretty optimal in the sense that even if he didn't do very well in SC2 it can always be blamed on EG curse.

Totally agree, no chance in the long run with this half assesed attitude.
